Caption Of Artwork: This is a Mithila Painting. This a painting of a festival called Bhai Dooj which is celebrated widely in regions of Bihar. In this festival the sisters pray for long life of their brothers. Now the painting resembles a scene from a village where the Holy Basil plant and the Banana plant are present in the background. The house is beautifully decorated with paints and flowers. The sister is seen wearing a Saree and the brothers are wearing the traditional Dhoti Kurta. They have even brought present for their sister. It is a complete resemblance of the bond between siblings which is known to be the best bond.
