Middle Peace

Please don’t make a movie of my life

condensing all the beauty

along with all the strife

That’s not the way it happened.

Hidden in the crevices,

emerged from that unseen

lay the secret moments, alone I own

where brilliant light makes shadows.

Dancing in the air, on walls

Illuminated treasure

no warning or announcement

They appear, and flicker, then they flee.

Shadows more substantive

than that which you recount

from truth they come

Eternal where they go.

So, unless your lens is capable

of sight for things ethereal

rather than a movie

choose hidden documentary.

The shadows will reflect the light

My life in synchronicity.
