Love Is Not Made

Original Submission by Angela Krueger

Love is not made

I refused to succumb to the pressure

But did you know women

weren't made for man's pleasure

It's all I've ever known

I just thought sex was something you did

when you were grown

No one told me I didn't have to

I decided that on my own

But if it wasn't for the pain

I might have just let him

Isn't that insane

Some men think sex is their right

Don't ever say that to me

unless you want to start a fight

Because a long time ago

I was led to believe

that sex was love

and you needed

to make it with me

I guess I did need it

To make it with you

Because we didn't work

But I guess you were patient

If another word for patient

was being a jerk

I was scared and broken

And in a lot of pain

But I tried anyway

It hurt

It barely worked

I felt so bad

For not being good enough

But you liked it and stuff

I couldn't bring myself to do it again

Even when you'd ask to try

I'm sorry

But you know

I shouldn't have to apologize

You could say it's ok

But I know they're just lies

I'm not the woman you need

And I guess you're not the right guy
