Like a Phoenix

You tried to crush me,

But like a flower, I bloomed again.

You tried to bury me,

But like a seed, I grew again.

You tried to drown me,

But like a mermaid, I swam with the waves.

You tried to cage me,

But like an eagle, I soared even higher.

You tried to burn me,

But like a phoenix, I rose from the ashes.

So never forget or lose sight,

I am a woman, who learned to fight,

To stand firm, in darkness and light.

I was forged by values and flame,

Fire in my blood, and a warrior by name.

Blazing through the world - not easily tamed!
