ये टुकड़े

काँच के टुकड़े होते हैं, देखा था, समेट कर फेंक दिया टुकड़ों को।

दिल के टुकड़े होते हैं, सुना था, धीरे-धीरे फिर जुड़ जाने को।

मेरे ये टुकड़े, इतनी दूर तक फैले, इतने बारीक, इनको समेटूँ कैसे?

हर अंश में सैकड़ों कहानियाँ हैं, हर हिस्से में अनगिनत नादानियाँ हैं।

इतनी कहानियों और नादानियों को बटोरूँ कैसे?

जिनसे नाराज़गी है उनका क्या करूँ? क्या उन्हें बिखरा ही छोड़ दूँ?

बस पसंदीदा अंशों को इकट्ठा कर लूँ? इक नया वजूद तैयार करूँ?

पर दिल, सोच, ख़याल, ग़म, जज़्बात,

इन सब को बिखरा छोड़ने के बाद समेटने को बचेगा ही क्या?

किसे बीनूँ? क्या छाँटूँ? किसे छोड़ूँ?

सौ सिलवटों से भरी मैं? या अनगिनत हिस्सों के बिना अधूरी मैं?

कौन-सी नई छवि उकेरूँ मैं?

इतनी दरारों से भरी क्या ख़ुद के साथ भी रह पाऊँगी मैं?

जो मैंने ही मुझको न जाना? जो मैंने ही मुझको न पहचाना?

होगा पहले ख़ुद को ही मुझको अपनाना, अब नहीं चलेगा कोई बहाना।

टुकड़े चाहे हज़ार हों, दाग़ चाहे बेशुमार हों,

चाहे जाना लाखों दर्दों के पार हो,

चाहे हर कदम के नीचे अपने ही टुकड़ों की दर्दभरी पुकार हो,

पर चलना, बढ़ना, जुड़ना और उड़ना तो होगा।

जानती हूँ, जो थी वो तो नहीं वापस हो पाऊँगी।

पर यह भी जानती हूँ कि बीते पल से कहीं अधिक ऊपर उठ जाऊँगी।

बीते पल वाली मासूमियत शायद नहीं तलाश पाऊँगी,

पर नारी हूँ, हर सूरत में पहले से बेहतर ही बनकर पर फैलाऊँगी।
