Life

The sun is pouring in my window,

at Burning Stone Station

The letterbox clatters spewing post,

and biohazard suits

Better painful knowledge than ignorant bliss.

Sitting at the café, cappuccino in hand,

and the percolator bubbles

Black cherries hiding in my yoghurt pot,

Comfort in the taste

When it doesn’t matter it matters to someone!

The burst future wept, more tears again,

dreams melt to a murky blue

The storms of time, a tropical disease

and alcohol hides the pain

My life is my lot.

Poets by the dozens begin to write,

thoughts of life

Fragments of a tattered dream,

a thousand deaths

This is my destiny

Where the inner self meets a soulless void,

as time rages, past, present, future

At times it seems impossible,

and stress reigns

Now is the moment which consumes.

A bum sits on the street, bottle in hand,

and the drunkard rolls

Shapeless clouds turn into illusions,

this conscience speaks

Shit, who cares!

The mountains don't worship,

dreams tears

Confusing thoughts in a confusing life,

breaks the sky in all their elements

Dare I dream again?

A lonely swan passes by,

a new dream

Like the playful writing of my pen,

the ink blots spread

Why can't I run from this?

The sky cracks as if slashed by a knife,

lightning strikes lonely hearts

It makes no difference if its sweet or hot,

your touch a dopamine rush

In this world we call reality.

To wondrous places with special dreams,

in thick jasmine scent

Loves sweet serenade is dancing with us,

A glittering disco ball spinning

My heart awakens!
