If The Flower Fades

If the flower fades by fall,

Count My Love all in all,

Steal my Heart beneath the moon

Chase My Soul until it’s noon.

If the flower fades in time,

Chase the stars until you’re mine,

See and hear the clock’s chime,

Maybe you may find a dime.

If the flower fades in death,

Find me here in the bed of Seth,

Here there is a subtle breath

That waits and taunts and wastes its tune.

So here now, it is,

The world’s corrupt.

The beauty fades.

Gone and forever gone.

The beauty of words,

The flow of rivers,

Gone and forever gone.

By and by I come,

By and by we think

We will survive.

None. No.

Look.

Repeat.

I say, no.

Wait,

Live. Live again.

And again and again.
