I’M SORRY TERRA

I tore through the silvan trees,

As the silhouette dwindled through the breeze,

I saw a subtle tear fall from her eyelid’s crease ,

And I shrieked “won’t you answer me please?”

“Why did you hurt me ?

I saw you tainting my waters in glee ,

The birches , my finches had to flee ,

I’m still suffering from what you couldn’t foresee,”

We stood near the cloudy and shadowed pond,

As she criticized the beau monde,

“Are you really of desolation , that fond?”

And I finally understood why she was despond.
