Title: I Am Home

Some come for vacation,

travelling the world with a map in hand

Some come to learn,

turning each moment into a page

Some come to compete,

chasing trophies only they can hold

Some come to love,

like water softening the fire of hate

Some come to lead,

a quiet star in the desert night

Some come to toil,

raising cities from dust together

Some come to teach,

pouring knowledge like an endless spring

Yet no one comes for only one thing

We arrive, we become--

we love, we follow, we lead, we lose

And in the end,

regardless of why we came…

We return—

and whisper,

“I am home”
