It's not perfect, yet it fits

It isn't big but it isn't small

It isn't right but it isn't wrong

It doesn't have a voice

Yet it sings a silent song

It isn't fast

No, it takes so long

Hope is quite weird, isn't it

It sticks with you, from when you're a kid

It can't be said, it can't be drawn

It's just something that calls

It isn't loud but it isn't soft

It isn't bright, it can barely be seen

It's not a riddle to be solved

It's just something in between

Hope is here and wants to stay

It's your choice, every day

Open your hearts and let it see

Open your mind and let it breathe

The winners of winners

The ones who take it all

Are the ones who can accept

Hope is more than a concept

Hope stains and changes throughout

It maintains silence so you can be loud

Not just a word, it makes you proud

It helps you stand out in the crowd

The way it bends, gives you paths

The journey provided, saves from scars

So keep hope with you, in thick and thin

And soon you'll find it, living within
