Hey Today

Hey Today, I just want to sit in your arms and play

Merely staring at the edges of the day

Morning, evening and afternoon’s delay,

I am looking for you to unfold a new me

I am waiting for the moment when you hold me and say,

Breathe, I am just a day, if not today, it will be next day,

For you to calm me, slow me, catch me like a Bae,

you are mine and we are together in this race, no longer rushing the clocks,

not anymore stressing about the missed deadlines, you hold my hand and caress it gently,

asking me to pray with an intent to stay, you come with a night, an end to the beginning,

but this time you notice,

your ally is not ready, so you tell her to lay and rest on the way.
