Haunted House

I walk through my thoughts like a house

with no light,

Rooms full of echoes that hum in the night.

My chest like a drawer that won’t fully

close,

Cluttered with things that nobody knows.

The future’s a road like a fog-covered

street,

I move, but I’m scared of the ground at my

feet.

Like waiting on texts that never come

through,

I sit with the silence, unsure what is true.

I feel like a song that forgot its own tune,

Playing, but ending a little too soon.

But still there’s a spark, faint, quiet, and

small—

Like light through a crack... I’m not lost

after all.
