EVERY STEP, EVERY SONG

A chill in the air, every step for Mama

Sinking in the snow and sand.

Songs playing on my iPhone,

Every song a dedication to Mama.

Touching music that warms my heart,

Words so true and meaningful.

Tears roll down my cheeks,

My agony as you took your last breath.

Sun peaking above a mass of grey clouds,

A lone seabird flies toward me,

Turns to look at me and then carries on.

Hello my Mommy, I know it was you.

A blissful moment as a flock of seagulls

Fly above me in the shape of a heart,

Filling my soul with love and gratitude!

Too much love for a beautiful mother.
