Die ligte is af

en die dak van ń huis wat ek skaars ken

kraak in die stilte

Ek sukkel om te slaap

Ek droom, maar dit glip uit my greep

Die oorblyfsels gee weg dat dit oor jou was

Realiteit los ń bitter smaak,

die hemel lyk nader as wat dit voel

Ek is verder weg van jou af

as ooit vantevore

Dit is nou al jare,

maar op dae soos dié,

is dit moeilik om nie oor jou te skryf nie

Is daar iets anders as stilte na die dood?

As daar is,

vertel my van jou dag

in ń droom

wat ek more sal vergeet.
