CLOSET

On the fringe of innocence,

untrampled footsteps wander.

I search for the rainbows end,

among great white columns

Of daydreams and reality,

I imagine what must be there.

Blank paper, a canvas of creation,

molding dreams and experience.

Life in dreams undiluted, unpolluted,

life in reality blizzards in my eyes.

Moment to moment we live and love,

young life, living in a secret life.

Thumbs out, hitch a ride, cloud dreams,

rush past, freedom to love.

Silently laughing at the idiots we meet,

too polite to admit what they won’t approve,

A secret life in the air, are seen,

yet not seen, hints of reality.
