CLEMENTINE

Malacia of her heart

Strawberries and sweetwine

She who was born kind

They called her Clementine

But bruised by malicious claws

Her sweetness turned to stone

A quiet shift in the unknown

A shield emerged over her smile

Do not beg for forgiveness

Do not kneel for grace

Do not wish for redemption

Do not cry in haze -

For, Clementine is only merciful

To those who were gentle to begin with
