Caged isolation

I have forgotten the freedoms of free speech

Having adopted a philosophical aspect to my freedom

Encompassing the academic minority of distant thought

Perhaps I was never free.

All words spoken displacing the manner in which I used to reside

Feeling the freedom of poetry becoming an escape

Or a door closed for others not to enter

Rendering efforts of connection mute

Perhaps brim bottles were established at this point

Emotions without addressing

Now standing at a crossroads with no next stop

Furthermore, no direction directing to fulfilled, embraceable connecting bridges

Spanning over no waters as nothing ever flowed

Rains halted before ground touch

Superficial global energy domains of sole inhabitation

No paths of tomorrow for yesterday burned in wake
