Beyond the Walls of Mist

To forget the words and the world,

to vanish away, to lose oneself in the abysses

in this timeless and motionless void.

To let the flow break the banks,

to become that shadow that fears not the darkness.

No lighthouse chases after the one who vanishes.

The echo of anxiety yields to the night,

the heart trembles and finds its center:

an ancient castaway in a sea of peace.

I want to cross every tense boundary,

among the walls of mist and the frost of the depths,

in the narrow eye of my pain.

To become storm so as not to be rock,

to cleave the darkness with steps of light

and to re-emerge, at last, naked and intact.

Under that sun that burns the skin,

with this moon that guides the journey,

while yesterday scatters in the wind.

To become ash and then new earth,

inside the fire, the night, and the path,

to be reborn in the silence of the heart,

in the song of beauty.
