Beyond Frames, Over Papers

If you were to ask, who captures the essence of a human the best,

They would probably say the photographer.

But, among the rest,

Yet, behind my thoughts, lays the writer.

The writer would be the best at it,

Capturing the soul like pictures in perfect fit.

They’d probably say an artist would do well,

Yet again, the writer is what my thoughts yell.

Before the art comes their blood,

Their sweat in the way as they flood.

Before the outcome, pierces through the heart,

Flowing words, yet the soul always falling apart.

In a writer’s mind comes agony,

Fear of their unsaid thoughts and worry.

They all rush in the river stream,

Perhaps the river flows back in the bank of self-esteem.

Yet, the writer would never say,

Maybe they’re writing now or in a café.

Who knows what goes through their thoughts,

But for now, all I know is these are all I sought.
