Behind The Curtains

We tell ourselves that we can set free behind the curtains but can't even accept us as we are.

We seem to always crave to be loved or seen in our authentic form, our true selves,but when we ourselves can't seem to do that naturally,

when the body can't see the beauty of the soul, how can we even accept it from another who can truly never comprehend you, define you, appreciate you?

Don't look for validation from the audience when you, the performer,

don't see the beauty in your show.
