Dear December,

I've finally stepped on your doormat.

My fingers curled on the door handle, ready to open it into the year:

But am I ready just yet?

Have I done the year good?

Did I become just a bit better?

Visited places that left a mark on my heart?

Experienced until I've learned and realised?

Met people who bring out the best in me, and left those who have no space in my story?

Did I achieve?

Did I fail and learn?

Did I fall and rise?

Was poetry at the heart of it all?

Did I love?

Did I live?
