Logline: When a young woman's demonic power costs her mother's life, she must confront the truth of her own creation on the one moonless night that could either save her family or complete the destiny a devil has been engineering since her birth.
Synopsis: Aakhri Amavas is about a happy family of three. Father, a simple middle class working man and his two daughters, Arya, a normal looking girl with terrifying secret and Anaya, a cute little curious girl who is attached to her sister. Arya is a college going normal looking girl but from inside, she is carrying a deep secret she has been hiding from her family for years. A secret about her mom’s death and the lilies in their garden.
Arya comes from college and meets Anaya. Both look really happy. But soon, their cute and fun conversation turns into a fight when Anaya takes out the topic of their mom’s death and Arya is not ready to tell her the truth. Anaya angrily goes to a garden to be alone where she meets an old woman who signals her towards the truth but Anaya doesn’t believe her so she goes back to her sister who she trusts more than anyone else.
The old lady meets Baba, who comes to her house to warn her to stay away from Anaya and to not tell her the truth. The old lady on the other hand, promises herself to save Anaya by telling her the truth.
Next morning, their dad comes back home and meets Anaya. Dad and daughter spend some quality time before Anaya leaves for school where she meets her friend, Pari and talks to her about having a play date at her house and playing in the garden near the lilies. Pari excitedly accepts the play date.
Same evening Pari comes to Anaya’s house for playdate where they go to the garden to play. As Arya is sleeping, she continuously hears Baba's voice who tells her to stop Anaya from getting close to the truth.
In the garden, Anaya goes towards the lilies and just as she is about to get to the truth, Arya comes there and stops her. They get into a fight because of which Anaya refuses to forgive Arya but elder siblings always have their ways to ask for forgiveness.
Next morning, an unexpected guest visits Arya leaving her in shock. Baba comes to meet Arya to warn her to forget her family and destroy the world as she doesn’t belong to this human world. She belongs the world of Baba. The devil world. He also informs her that tonight is Amavasya night, when her powers will surge and she can destroy everyone.
As Arya is fearing for the night, Baba is talking to his assistant, Chaaya who asks him the reason of choosing Arya.
Anaya returns from school and asks Arya about Amavasya to which Arya has no response.
The same night is the weekend night but a destructive one for Arya. The family eats their dinner as usual after which, Anaya and dad sit together for a midnight movie while Arya impatiently waits for the time. As the clock strikes 3:00, Arya’s powers start increasing, her eyes turning hot red. She goes outside and meets Baba who demands her to use her powers to destroy the world.
Next morning, Anaya wakes up with a nightmare. She runs to Arya and tells her how she saw Arya becoming a devil in her dream. Arya gets scared but somehow, calms down the situation. The family enjoys the weekend by spending their day in the mall.
After returning from the mall, Anaya and her father go to sleep. Arya goes outside in fresh air to breath but loses control when a small boy disturbs her and pushes her to become the devil she was born as. Baba's manipulation forces Arya to attack the little boy with her powers making him unconscious.
The next morning, the news about the little boy comes on the TV and Anaya realizes that the boy is her friend and their neighbor. Anaya gets scared and refuses to go to school but she agrees when her father insists her to. Anaya and Arya leave from the house but dad feels suspicious of Arya’s behavior.
In college, Arya gets scolded by her professor for not submitting the assignment on time and as a result, Baba manipulates her into attacking him. Before she could kill him, she receives a call from her father who tells her to come home and meet him on the terrace.
Arya meets her dad and realizes that he knows her truth. Just as their conversation is going on, Arya realizes that Anaya has been kidnapped. Dad and Arya start the search for Anaya which leads them to the unconscious old lady, a clue in Anaya's bag, an old orphanage, Arya's truth about being adopted and her grandmother.
Just when, Arya's grandmother is about to reveal the truth of Arya's birth, she gets shot by Baba who struggles to keep back the secret when the old lady reveals to Arya about Anaya's locket.
Arya breaks down as she learns the truth about her mother dying because of her immense powers. She realizes that Baba used her to become powerful and that whenever she uses her power to attack someone, Baba becomes even more powerful.
Learning that truth, Arya decides to finish Baba by using Anaya's locket. She keeps the locket between her and Anaya's hands, freeing the spirit inside her.
Anaya's immense love for Arya frees the devil inside Arya which affects Baba. He collapses to the ground as Arya's spirit overpowers his. Arya, Anaya and Dad share an emotional moment as they defeat Baba.
The next morning, as Anaya feeds soup to Arya, Arya finally builds up courage. She takes Anaya to the garden and tells her the truth of their mom’s death. Anaya fights with Arya not able to forgive her. But their love and their mother bring the family back together. The girls share and emotional moment with their dad as he thanks his wife for their happiness.
In the post credit scene, Chaaya enters his room. She reads his diary and reveals that the story is not over. After she leaves, the camera zooms in to the diary cover which read: "AGLA WAARIS".
FADE IN
INT. ANAYA’S ROOM - DAY
A little girl, ANAYA is in her room playing with her dolls when she sees her sister, ARYA entering the room with her college bag. Anaya runs and hugs her.
ANAYA
Didi! Finally, aap aa gaye. Pata hai maine aapko kitna miss kiya!
Arya slowly pulls back. She kneels down to Anaya’s level.
ARYA
Kitna miss kiya?
Anaya stretches her arms.
ANAYA
Itna miss kiya.
ARYA
Are baap re! Itna miss kiya mujhe? Acha yeh batao school kaisa tha aaj? Teacher ko tang to nahi kiya na?
ANAYA
Bilkul bhi nahi. Aaj to teacher ne mujhe ek bada sa star diya. Aur mujhe class monitor bhi banaya.
ARYA
Are wahh! Meri cutie pie class monitor ban gayi? Yeh to kamaal ki baat hai. I’m proud of you. Pata hai aur kaun proud hai?
ANAYA
Kaun?
ARYA
Mumma. Wo bhi bohot proud feel kar rahi hogi aaj. I’m sure, agar wo aaj hamare sath hoti to tumhe gale se lagati aur bolti, ‘Mumma is proud of you my princess’.
Anaya’s smile fades away hearing about her mom.
ANAYA
Didi, mumma ko kya hua tha?
Arya’s smile fades away and she glances away.
ARYA
Tum… Tum aise kyu puch rahi ho ekdam se? Kya hua?
ANAYA
Pata nahi kyu par mujhe aisa lagta hai ki mumma ke sath kuch bura hua tha. Isliye aapne mujhe mumma ko dekhne nahi diya tha aur kabhi nahi bataya ki unhe kya hua tha. Batao na didi. Kya hua tha mumma ke sath?
Arya takes a deep breath, forcing a soft smile.
ARYA
Aisa kuch nahi hua tha mumma ko Anaya. Wo bas… Wo bas bohot bimaar thi. Tum bohot choti thi isliye maine tumhe kabhi bataya nahi.
ANAYA
Nahi! Aap jhooth bol rahe ho. Mumma bimaar nahi thi. Mujhe yaad hai. Main choti nahi thi. Main 8 saal ki thi. Aap zaroor mujhse kuch chupa rahe ho.
Arya softly holds Anaya’s arms. Her voice soft but trembling.
ARYA
Anaya, bharosa karo mera. Aisa kuch nahi hai jaisa tum soch rahi ho. Mumma sach mein bohot bimaar thi. Unhone hi mujhse kaha tha ki meri princess ko kuch mat batana nahi to wo ghabra jaayegi. Main mumma ki baat kaise taal sakti thi?
Anaya pushes Arya’s hands furiously.
ANAYA
Wo sirf aapki mumma nahi hai. Meri bhi mumma hai. To mera haq nahi hai kya sach jaanne ka? Mujhe pata hai mumma bimaar nahi thi. Aap aur papa do saal se mujhse sach chupa rahe ho. I hate you didi! I hate you!
Anaya runs out of the room crying. Arya sits there on the floor feeling helpless.
ARYA
I’m sorry Anaya. Main tumhe sach nahi bata sakti. Mujh mein utni himmat nahi hai. Ho sake to apni behan ko maaf karna.
EXT. PARK - DAY
Anaya goes to a nearby park and sits on the bench alone, crying. An old lady sees her and goes to her. She sits beside Anaya.
OLD LADY
Kya hua beta? Tum ro kyu rahi ho? Kisi ne daanta kya?
Anaya shakes her head, not looking at the lady.
OLD LADY
Mumma ki yaad aa rahi hai?
Anaya gets confused and looks at her.
ANAYA
Aap meri mumma ko jaante ho kya?
OLD LADY
Main tumhari mumma ko hi nahi balki unki maut ka kaaran bhi jaanti hu.
ANAYA
Matlab?
OLD LADY
Matlab yeh ki tumhari didi tumse ek bohot bada raaz chupa rahi hai. Uss raat maine tumhari mumma aur didi ko dekha tha jhagadte hue. Aur phir kuch hi der baad, tumhari didi baahar aayi thi kuch dafnane.
ANAYA
Aap kehna chahte ho ki mumma didi ki wajah se mari hai? Didi ne unhe maara hai? Par aap hume kaise jaante ho?
OLD LADY
Tum mujhse mili hui ho. Par shaayad tumhe yaad nahi. Lekin mujhe... sab yaad hai.
ANAYA
Nahi! Yeh sach nahi hai. Aap jhooth bol rahi ho. Meri didi bohot achi hai. Unhone mumma ko nahi maara hai.
Anaya wipes her tears and goes away from there.
OLD LADY
(to herself)
Koi nahi. Ek na ek din sach saamne aake hi rahega. Main nahi chahti ki Arya tumhe bhi nuksaan pahunchaye.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - NIGHT
Anaya goes back home. She goes to Arya’s room and sees her sitting on the bed lost in thoughts. Anaya goes to Arya and hugs her tightly.
ANAYA
I’m sorry didi. Main aage se kabhi gussa nahi hogi aapse.
Arya hugs her tightly and gets emotional.
ARYA
I love you, my princess. Main tumhare bina nahi reh sakti.
Arya slowly pulls back.
ARYA
Aaj waise itni jaldi kaise maan gayi tum? Usually to tum pura din gussa rehti ho mujhse. Aaj kya chamatkar hua?
ANAYA
Abhi jab main park gayi thi to waha mujhe ek aunty mili. Unhone mujhse kaha ki aapne mumma ko maara hai. Par maine bharosa nahi kiya unka. Mujhe apni didi pe pura trust hai. Mujhe pata hai ki aap aisa kuch nahi kar sakte. I love you didi. And I trust you.
Anaya hugs Arya again. Arya gets shocked and scared. She hugs Anaya tightly.
ARYA
Acha kiya tumne unka bharosa nahi kiya.
Arya pulls back slowly. She holds Anaya’s hands.
ARYA
Kuch log aise hi hote hai. Jo mann mein aata hai bolte hai. Inhe sach nahi pata hota isliye yeh log kuch bhi kahani banate hai. Par tum inn logo ki baat pe bilkul yakeen mat karna. Tum sirf apni didi ki baat maanna. Promise?
Arya brings her hand forward. Anaya holds her hand.
ANAYA
Pinky Promise!
Anaya stretches and yawns.
ANAYA
Bohot neend aa rahi hai mujhe. Aaj main aapke sath hi so jaau?
ARYA
Theek hai. Let jaao.
Anaya lies down as Arya puts her to sleep. Soon, Anaya goes to sleep. Arya kisses her forehead softly.
ARYA
Good night my princess. Didi loves you.
INT. OLD LADY'S HOUSE - NIGHT
The old lady is in her house, lighting a Diya. The flame suddenly flickers. BABA appears from the darkness.
BABA
Maine tumhe pehle bhi chetavni di thi. Lagta hai tumhe maut ka darr hi nahi raha.
The old lady turns towards him.
OLD LADY
Main uss maasum bachi ko uski maut ki taraf jaate hue nahi dekh sakti.
BABA
Agar tumne dobara uske paas jaane ki koshish ki... to agli amavasya tumhare liye aakhri hogi.
OLD LADY
Main tujhse darti nahi hu Baba. Jo karna hai karlo. Main Anaya ko sach batake rahungi. Aur jis din Anaya ko poora sach pata chal gaya... uss din tera ant shuru hoga.
BABA
Tumhe lagta hai tum uss bacchi ko bacha logi? Uski kismat uske paida hone se pehle likhi ja chuki hai. Ek baar meri baat taal chuki ho... doosri baar apni maut khud likhogi.
Baba leaves from there. The Diya lights out by itself and the house becomes silent.
OLD LADY
(to herself)
Mere paas waqt bohot kam hai.
The old lady stands there determined and without fear.
INT. ARYA’S HOUSE - DAY
Next morning, when Anaya is getting ready for school, she hears the doorbell ring. She runs down to open the door.
ANAYA
Papa!
Anaya hugs her father tightly.
ANAYA
Aap finally aa gaye ghar. Maine aapko kitna miss kiya. Aap kal ghar kyu nahi aaye?
Dad pulls back slowly and walks her inside.
DAD
Maine bhi tumhe bohot miss kiya. Kal kaam karte karte bohot late ho gaya tha to main apne dost ke yaha ruk gaya. Uska ghar office ke paas hi hai. Waise didi kaha hai? Dikh nahi rahi kahi.
ANAYA
Didi to so rahi hai. Unka college aaj late hai isliye. Papa, aap meri choti bana doge please?
DAD
Mujhe bas 5-minute do. Main phata phat haath muh dhoke aaya. Phir main tumhari choti bhi bana deta hu aur tumhare liye yummy breakfast bhi.
ANAYA
Ok papa! Main wait karti hu.
Dad goes up to his room to room to freshen up while Anaya packs her bag. After some time, her dad comes down.
DAD
Aa jaao Anaya. Tumhari choti bana du.
Anaya goes to her dad. He braids her hair.
DAD
Acha yeh batao, aaj breakfast mein kya khaaogi? Sandwich banadu?
ANAYA
Yes! Sandwich to mujhe bohot pasand hai.
DAD
Perfect! Sandwich done.
After braiding her hair, dad goes to the kitchen to prepare breakfast while Anaya waits at the dining table. Dad brings Anaya’s sandwich. Anaya starts eating. Her dad notices her monitor badge.
DAD
Anaya, yeh kya hai? Tum monitor bani ho?
ANAYA
Ha papa! Kal hi teacher ne mujhe class monitor banaya tha.
DAD
Are wahh! I’m proud of you my angel. Acha ab jaldi khaao nahi to bus miss ho jaayegi.
Anaya eats quickly. She then takes her bag and goes outside with her dad. The bus comes and Anaya gets in and leaves for school. Her dad goes inside, clears the table and then goes to Arya’s room to wake her up.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - DAY
Dad enters Arya’s room. He goes and sits beside her.
DAD
Good morning, Arya! Uth jaao phata phat.
Arya wakes up still sleepy. She rubs her eyes.
ARYA
Bas 5-minute aur sone do.
DAD
Koi 5-minute nahi milege. Utho jaldi se. College nahi jaana kya?
Arya finally struggles and wakes up. She hugs her dad.
ARYA
Good morning, Papa!
DAD
Good morning! Chalo ab jaldi se tayyar ho jaao. Maine sandwiches banaye hai. To aaj tum breakfast kiye bina nahi niklogi.
ARYA
Yeh bhi koi kehne ki baat hai? Main aapke hath ke sandwiches khaaye bina nikal sakti hu kya? Main jaldi se tayyar ho jaati hu.
Arya goes to freshen up while dad goes down to prepare the breakfast. After getting ready, Arya quickly eats her breakfast and leaves for college.
INT. ANAYA’S CLASSROOM - DAY
Anaya is in her class sitting with her friend. There is English class going on in her class but Anaya is busy talking with her friend, Pari.
ANAYA
(whispering)
Pari, tumhe pata hai papa ne na mujhe mere birthday par ek bohot bada doctor set gift kiya tha.
PARI
(whispering)
Wow! Doctor Set! Mujhe hamesha se ek doctor set chahiye tha par mumma papa ne kabhi dilaaya hi nahi.
ANAYA
(whispering)
To tum aaj mere ghar aa jaao. Hum dono milkar doctor set ke sath khelege. Bohot maza aayega.
PARI
(whispering)
Yeh to bohot acha idea hai. Main zaroor aaungi. Hum tumhare garden mein bhi khelege. Yaad hai Aunty bhi hamare sath garden mein khelti thi.
Anaya’s smile slowly fades away.
ANAYA
(whispering)
Jab bhi main garden mein khelti hu, mujhe mumma ki bohot yaad aati hai. Aisa lagta hai jaise mumma bhi mere sath khel rahi hai.
PARI
(whispering)
Phir to hum zaroor khelenge waha. Bohot maza aayega.
ANAYA
(whispering)
Ha hum khel sakte hai. Par hum lilies ke paas nahi jaa sakte. Didi mana karti hai waha jaane se. Pata nahi kyu.
The teacher notices them talking and gets angry.
TEACHER
Anaya, Pari! Both of you stand up!
Anaya and Pari get up from their seats feeling embarrassed.
TEACHER
This is my class. Not your house. How dare you both talk during my class? Go stand outside with your hands up.
ANAYA
We are sorry teacher. We will not talk again.
TEACHER
I don’t want any excuses. Out of my class, Right Now!
Anaya and Pari go outside the class feeling embarrassed.
INT. CORRIDOR - DAY
They stand near the wall and put their hands up.
ANAYA
Hume class mein baat nahi karna chahiye tha. Ma’am kitna gussa ho gayi.
PARI
Koi baat nahi. Punishment to har kisi ko milti hai kabhi na kabhi. Isse hum bad student thodi na ho gaye.
ANAYA
I know! But main ek good student hu aur sab teachers mujhe pasand karte hai. Mujhe punishment bilkul pasand nahi.
Just then, the principal walks past the classroom and sees Anaya and Pari standing outside. He goes to them.
PRINCIPAL
Tum dono ko punishment mili hai na? Phir bhi tum dono baate kar rahi ho. How shameless!
ANAYA
Sorry Sir!
The principal notices her monitor badge.
PRINCIPAL
Oh! To Class Monitor ho tum. Bada acha example set kar rahi ho apni class ke liye.
Saying that the principal goes in the classroom.
ANAYA
Mujhe dar lag raha hai Pari. Principal sir ne mera badge le liya to?
PARI
Aisa kuch nahi hoga. Tu bohot achi monitor hai.
Just then the principal comes out. He looks at Anaya.
PRINCIPAL
Yeh tumhari pehli galti hai isliye warning ke sath chod raha hu. Agar dobara tum mujhe baahar dikhi to tumhara badge le lunga. Samajh gayi?
ANAYA
Yes, Sir. I’m sorry.
PRINCIPAL
Tum dono andar jaa sakti ho.
The principal leaves from there. Anaya and Pari go back inside.
INT. CLASSROOM - DAY
PARI ANAYA
May we come in Ma’am?
May we come in Ma’am?
TEACHER
Yes, Come in. No talking in my class now. Go and sit down.
Anaya and Pari go and sit on their seats.
INT. ARYA’S HOUSE - DAY
Arya’s dad is in his room doing work when he hears the main door opening. He goes down to check and sees Arya coming in.
DAD
Arya, tum itni jaldi kaise aa gayi aaj?
ARYA
Aaj sirf ek hi class hui. Baaki classes cancel ho gayi isliye jaldi aa gayi ghar. Aap office nahi gaye?
DAD
Nahi. Main aaj subah hi waapis aaya hu na ghar to isliye aaj maine Work from home le liya. Tum jaao freshen up ho jaao. Main khaana laga deta hu. Anaya bhi aati hogi.
Arya nods her head and goes up to her room to freshen up. Just then, the door opens again. Dad sees Anaya come in. Anaya sees her dad and runs and hugs him.
DAD
Aa gayi meri princess school se. Kaisa tha aaj ka din?
ANAYA
Acha tha. Bohot bhook lagi hai mujhe.
DAD
Tum phata phat freshen up ho jaao. Main khaana laga deta hu. Arya didi bhi ghar aa gayi.
ANAYA
Itni jaldi? Main unse mil leti hu.
Anaya goes up while dad sets up the food. The girls come down to have lunch.
ANAYA
Papa, aapko pata hai aaj na Pari aa rahi hai ghar. Khelne ke liye.
DAD
Are wahh! Phir to aaj full enjoyment hoyegi.
ARYA
Khel lena maze se par Pari ke aane se pehle apna homework complete kar lena. Uske aane ke baad to tumhari book khulegi hi nahi.
ANAYA
Don’t worry didi. Main apna saara homework uske aane se pehle complete kar lungi.
All three finish their lunch.
DAD
Main apne room mein jaa raha hu kaam karne. Kuch bhi chahiye ho to bula lena.
ARYA
Ok papa. Main vaise bhi sone jaa rahi hu thodi der.
ANAYA
Aur main homework karne jaa rahi hu.
All three keep their plates in the kitchen and go to their rooms.
INT. ANAYA’S ROOM - DAY
Anaya goes to her room, takes out her books and starts doing her homework. Just when she finishes her homework and closes her books, she hears the doorbell ring. She runs down to open the door.
INT. HALL - DAY
Anaya opens the door and sees Pari and her mom.
ANAYA
Hi Pari! Hello Aunty.
PARI’S MOM
Hello beta. Tum dono maze se khelo. Main chalti hu. 6 baje tak main isse lene aa jaaungi.
ANAYA
Ok Aunty. Aaja Pari.
Pari’s mom leaves from there. Anaya and Pari go to Anaya’s room.
INT. ANAYA’S ROOM - DAY
Anaya and Pari run to Anaya’s room and sit on the bed. Anaya takes out her doctor set. They both start playing.
PARI
Yeh doctor set to bohot acha hai. Isme to bohot saari cheeze hai.
ANAYA
Maine hi papa ko bola tha ki mujhe aisa hi doctor set chahiye jisme sab kuch ho.
They both continue playing. After sometime, Pari looks at the window towards the garden.
PARI
Anaya, chal garden mein khelte hai. Abhi to zyaada dhoop bhi nahi hai.
ANAYA
Theek hai. Chal.
Anaya and Pari wear their slippers and leave from the room.
EXT. GARDEN - DAY
Anaya and Pari go to the garden to play.
ANAYA
Hide and Seek khele?
PARI
Ha. Hide and Seek to mera favorite game hai.
ANAYA
Main count karti hu aur tu chupna.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - DAY
Arya is sleeping in her room when she suddenly hears Baba's voice.
BABA
(v.o.)
Arya utho. Roko usse.
Arya starts feeling uneasy.
BABA
(v.o.)
Anaya sach ke kareeb pahunch rahi hai. Roko usse.
Arya turns around in sleep.
EXT. GARDEN - DAY
Anaya turns around and closes her eyes while Pari goes to hide.
ANAYA
1…2…3…4…5
Pari goes and hides near the lilies. Anaya continues counting.
ANAYA
6…7…8…9…10. Main aa rahi hu.
Anaya starts searching for Pari. Suddenly, Pari notices something near the lilies.
PARI
Anaya! Jaldi yaha pe aa.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - DAY
Arya continues hearing Baba's voice in her head.
BABA
(v.o.)
Arya utho.
Arya clenches the bedsheet. Her breathing gets faster.
BABA
Agar Anaya ko sach pata chal gaya to tum khatam ho jaaogi.
Arya suddenly opens her eyes. She gets up and breathes heavily. She looks at the garden from her window.
BABA
(v.o.)
Wo ladki tumhe khatam kar degi.
Arya gets off the bed and runs outside.
EXT. GARDEN - DAY
Anaya goes to Pari.
ANAYA
Kya hua?
PARI

Anaya bends down and starts removing the soil. Suddenly, she hears Arya’s voice from behind.
ARYA
Anaya!!
Anaya quickly gets up shocked and scared.
ANAYA
D…D…Didi
Arya goes towards her angrily and slaps her. Anaya holds her cheek shocked. Arya then pulls Anaya by her arm.
ARYA
Tumhari himmat kaise hui isse chedne ki? Maine mana kiya tha na? Tumhe meri baat ek baar mein samajh nahi aati kya?
Arya leaves her arms and points her finger at her.
ARYA
Agar dobara iske paas aane ki koshish bhi ki to mujhse bura koi nahi hoga. Samjhi?
ANAYA
Main yaha aaungi. Ek baar nahi, das baar aaungi. Par aaungi. Yaha aake mujhe mumma ke hone ka ehsaas hota hai. Acha lagta hai mujhe yaha. To main kyu na aau? Aap mujhe rok nahi sakte.
ARYA
Anaya! Batameezi mat karo mere sath. Jab maine ek baar keh diya ki yaha nahi aana to bas nahi aana. Mujhe koi behas nahi chahiye. Jaao apne kamre mein.
ANAYA
Aap to aise dar rahe ho jaise aapne yaha kuch chupaya hai.
Arya freezes. She unconsciously looks toward the lilies and realizes she made a mistake.
ARYA
Yeh kya bol rahi ho tum?
ANAYA
Aapne kabhi mujhe thapad nahi maara. To aaj kyu? Bas isliye kyunki main mumma ke favorite lilies ke paas aayi thi? Ya isliye kyunki main yeh mitti hatake dekh rahi thi ki iske andar kya hai? I hate you didi. Main aapse kabhi baat nahi karungi.
Anaya runs inside. Pari goes behind her. Arya stands there looking towards the lilies. Her eyes start tearing up.
ARYA
I’m sorry Mumma. Main uspe hath nahi uthana chahti thi. Main bas darr gayi thi. Main nahi chahti ki Anaya ko sach pata chale. Wo toot jaayegi.
Arya goes inside.
INT. HALL - DAY
Arya goes behind Anaya as she runs to her room. Their dad comes there and gets worried. He stops Arya.
DAD
Arya, kya hua? Anaya aise rote hue kyu bhaag rahi thi?
ARYA
Wo papa, maine bas isse thoda sa daant diya to yeh gussa ho gayi.
DAD
Par kyu? Kya kiya tha usne?
ARYA
Kuch nahi papa. Main use mana lungi. Wo zyaada der gussa nahi rahegi.
DAD
I trust you, Arya. Kuch bhi ho to mujhe batana. Main apni betiyon ko aise ladte hue nahi dekh sakta.
Arya nods her head and goes up to Anaya’s room.
INT. ANAYA’S ROOM - DAY
Arya enters Anaya’s room and sees her sitting with Pari on the bed and crying. She goes and sits near her. She holds her ears.
ARYA
I’m sorry Anaya. I’m really sorry. Mujhe tumhe aise thappad nahi marna chahiye tha. I’m sorry.
ANAYA
Mujhe aapse koi baat nahi karni. Aap chale jaao yaha se.
Arya softly holds Anaya’s arms.
ARYA
I’m sorry Anaya. Please mujhe maaf kardo.
Anaya pushes Arya away.
ANAYA
Maine kaha na. Mujhe aapse baat nahi karni. Chale jaao yaha se.
Just then the doorbell rings. Arya wipes her tears and goes down.
INT. HALL - DAY
Arya comes down to open the door.
PARI’S MOM
Hello beta. Kaisi ho tum?
ARYA
Hello Aunty. Main theek hu. Main Pari ko bulati hu. Aap andar baith jaaiye.
PARI’S MOM
Are nahi nahi. Ghar pe bohot kaam hai. Tum bas Pari ko bula do.
ARYA
Ji Aunty.
Arya goes near the stairs and calls out Pari’s name.
ARYA
Pari! Pari!
Pari comes down. Arya goes near her.
ARYA
(whispering)
Pari, aaj jo bhi hua, uske baare mein apni mummy se kuch mat kehna. Please.
Pari nods her head and leaves from there. Arya looks up towards Anaya’s room.
ARYA
Tumhari didi tumhe mana lengi Anaya. Main tumhe aise nahi dekh sakti.
INT. ANAYA’S ROOM - NIGHT
At night, Anaya is lying down on the bed crying when she hears Arya sing her favorite song ‘Jab Koi baat Bigad Jaaye’. She immediately gets up and looks towards the direction of the voice. Arya comes inside singing the song and holding Anaya’s favorite Chocolate Ice cream in her hand. She goes to Anaya, sits beside her, wipes her tears and gives her the ice cream. After finishing the song, Arya holds her ears.
ARYA
I’m sorry Anaya. Apni didi ko maaf nahi karogi?
ANAYA
Aise nahi maaf karungi.
ARYA
To kaise karogi?
ANAYA
Mumma kehti thi ki jab koi galti kare to usse uthak baithak karke maafi maangni chahiye.
ARYA
Matlab mujhe uthak baithak karni padegi? Theek hai.
Arya gets up and starts doing sit-ups. After 5 sit-ups, Arya pretends to fall down.
ARYA
Aahh!!
Anaya gets tensed and goes to Arya.
ANAYA
Sorry didi. Meri wajah se aapko chot lag gayi.
Arya starts laughing. She hugs Anaya.
ARYA
Aww! Meri choti behan ko meri kitni fikr hai.
ANAYA
Aap mazaak kar rahe the?
Anaya turns away innocently upset.
ANAYA
Jaao main aapse baat nahi karungi.
ARYA
Acha ji! Baat nahi karogi? Theek hai phir.
Arya starts tickling Anaya. Anaya finally laughs and plays with Arya.
INT. ARYA’S HOUSE - DAY
Next morning, Arya wakes up hearing the doorbell ring. She goes down to the hall and sees her dad talking to someone on the door. She goes to him and gets scared seeing Baba standing outside. She looks at her dad.
ARYA
Yeh kaun hai papa?
DAD
Acha hua Arya tum aa gayi. Yeh tumse milne aaye hai. Keh rahe hai ki yeh sirf tumse baat karege. Tum jaanti ho inhe?
ARYA
Ha papa. I think main jaanti hu inhe. Aap jaaiye main baat karke aati hu.
Dad leaves from there. Arya takes Baba outside and shuts the door.
ARYA
Aap yaha kyu aaye ho?
BABA
Papa! Wahh Arya! Kya baat hai! Kitna lagaav hai na tumhe tumhare baap se aur tumhari behan se?
ARYA
Wo dono meri family hai. Main unse bohot pyaar karti hu. Kya chahiye aapko? Kyu aaye ho aap yaha?
BABA
Yahi to main tumhe yaad dilaane aaya hu. Yeh tumhara parivaar nahi hai. Yeh tumhara ghar nahi hai. Tumahara ghar aur parivaar dono main hu. Maine tumhe banaya hai. Yeh mat bhulo.
ARYA
Bhale hi aapne mujhe banaya ho par paida to main apni maa ki kokh se hi hui hu. Aapne mujhe shaitaan banaya hai. Par iss parivaar ne mujhe insaan banaya hai.

ARYA

Tumhari maa tumhari wajah se chali gayi. Tumne usko maara hai. Aur acha hi kiya tumne usse maar kar. Tumhara sach jaanti thi wo aurat to usse to marna hi tha.
ARYA
Bas! Wo aaj bhi meri maa hai. Maine unhe jaan puchkar nahi maara tha. Aap please jaaiye yaha se.
BABA
Chala jaata hu par yaad rakhna. Aaj Amavasya ki raat hai. Aaj tumhari shaitani shaktiya badhne wali hai. Iss duniya pe raaj karne ke liye tayyar ho jaao.
Baba leaves from there. Arya stands there as he goes away.
ARYA
Aaj chahe jo ho jaaye, main inn shaitani shaktiyon ko apne upar haavi nahi hone dungi. Ek baar yeh shaktiyan badh gayi to sab khatam ho jaayega. Pichli baar Amavasya ki raat ko maine apni maa ko maar daala. Iss baar aisa kuch nahi ho sakta.
Arya goes towards the lilies and kneels down.
ARYA
Mumma... isme meri kya galti thi ki main Amavasya ki raat paida hui? Mujhe uss baat ki saza kyun mil rahi hai jo mere haath mein kabhi thi hi nahi? Kya main kabhi ek aam insaan ki tarah nahi jee sakti? Main thak gayi hu Mumma... Har roz khud se ladte ladte thak gayi hu main.
DAD

Kya hua Arya?
Arya turns around, startled. She quickly wipes her tears, gets up and faces her dad.
DAD
Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?
aRYA
K... Kuch nahi papa. Bas aise hi.
Arya walks past Dad without meeting his eyes.
Dad looks at the lilies... then at Arya walking away.
He senses something wrong.
INT. ARYA’S HOUSE - DAY
Arya goes inside and sees Anaya standing there. She goes to her.
ARYA
Good morning, Anaya! Yaha aise kyu khadi ho?
ANAYA
(sleepy)
Good morning didi! Aap kisse baat kar rahe the baahar. Maine aapko chillate hue suna.
ARYA
Kuch nahi... ek ladka pareshaan kar raha tha. Maine daant diya. Chalo, tum jaldi se ready ho jao. Main breakfast banati hoon.
Anaya goes up to take shower while Arya goes to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Dad comes to the kitchen dressed up for office.
DAD
Arya, tumne baat karli unse? Kaun the wo aur unhe tumse kya baat karni thi?
Arya doesn't look at him.
ARYA
Wo…Wo bas mujhse raasta puch rahe the. Aur kuch nahi.
DAD
Wo tumse hi raasta kyu puch rahe the? Mujhse puch lete? Aur bhala koi kisi ke ghar aake raasta kyu puchega?
ARYA
Pata nahi Papa... bas mujhse hi puch rahe the. Main breakfast laga deti hu.
Arya leaves from the kitchen. Dad starts feeling suspicious.
DAD
(in his mind)
Yeh pakka kuch chupa rahi hai. Mujhe pata lagana hoga ki wo aadmi kaun hai aur uska Arya se kya lena dena hai.
After sometime, Anaya comes down dressed up for school. The family eats breakfast in silence. Dad keeps stealing glances at Arya, clearly unconvinced by her explanation. After breakfast, Anaya leaves for school. Before leaving for work, Dad picks up his bag and looks ay Arya.
DAD
Arya... agar koi baat hai to mujhe bata sakti ho tum.
ARYA
K... Kuch nahi hai papa.
Dad nods... but he doesn't believe her. He then leaves for office.
INT. ANAYA’S CLASSROOM - DAY
Anaya goes to her class and sits with Pari.
ANAYA
Hi Pari.
PARI
Hi Anaya. I’m sorry. Kal tumhe meri wajah se thappad padha.
ANAYA
Tum kyu sorry bol rahi ho? Tumhari koi galti nahi thi. Didi ki galti thi aur unhone sorry bhi bol diya aur uthak baithak bhi kar liya.
PARI
Tumne unse uthak baithak karaya?
ANAYA
Aur nahi to kya? Jab main koi galti karti hu to didi mujhse bhi uthak baithak karwaati hai.
PARI
Agli baar main aaungi tab hum sirf andar khelege. Garden mein nahi jaayege.
ANAYA
Kyu nahi jaayege? Hum bilkul jaayege. Hume waha jaane se koi nahi rok sakta. Didi bhi nahi. Vaise, kyu na tum aaj mere ghar aa jaao sleepover ke liye? Kal weekend hai to aaj raat ko hum sath mein baith kar movie dekhege.
PARI
Mumma nahi aane degi. Aaj Amavasya hai. Mumma kehti hai aaj raat bhoot aur shaitaan ghoomte hai baahar.
ANAYA
Tum inn sab baaton mein kabse maanne lagi? Yeh sab jhooth hota hai.
PARI
Main nahi maanti par mumma maanti hai. Mujhe mumma ki baat to sunni padegi.
Just then the teacher enters the class. Anaya and Pari stop talking and greet the teacher.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - DAY
Arya walks around her room thinking about Baba’s words.
ARYA
(to herself)
Aaj chahe kuch bhi ho jaaye, mujhe khud se ladna hi hoga. Baba chahe jitni koshish kar le... main uske jaisi kabhi nahi banungi.
INT. BABA’S HOUSE - DAY
Baba is sitting on the floor looking at Arya in the magical water in the big golden utensil. He starts laughing loudly as his voice echoes around. He then looks at his assistant.
BABA
Kitni bholi hai yeh. Isse lagta hai ki yeh mere changul se bach sakti hai.
Chaaya
Isse kya maalum. Jo ek baar Baba ke changul mein phas jaaye, wo kabhi baahar nahi nikal sakta.
They both laugh loudly.
chAAYA
Vaise Baba, mera ek sawaal tha aapse. Puchu?
bABA
Pucho Chaaya. Jo puchna hai pucho.
CHAAYA
Arya hi kyu? Mera matlab hai ki aur bhi to bache the jo uss raat paida hue the. To phir aapne Arya ko hi kyu chuna?
BABA

Kyunki har Amavasya ke saath uske andar ka shaitaan aur mazboot hota jaayega... aur uski insaaniyat kamzor.
Baba stares into the golden vessel and smiles evilly.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - DAY
Anaya comes back home from school. She runs to Arya’s room.
ANAYA
Didi! Main aa gayi ghar.
Anaya goes and hugs Arya. When Arya hugs Anaya, she hears a faint whisper.
BABA
Aaj raat... tum phir haar jaaogi.
Arya's smile fades for a moment. She slowly releases Anaya and forces a smile.
ARYA
Kaisa raha aaj meri princess ka din?
ANAYA
Ekdam badhiya. Mujhe bohot bhook lagi hai.
ARYA
Tum jaldi se freshen up ho jaao. Main tab tak khana garam karti hu.
Anaya goes to freshen up while Arya goes down to heat the food.
INT. HALL - DAY
Arya heats up the food and sets the table. Anaya comes down and sits on the table. They both sit together and have lunch.
ANAYA
Didi, mujhe aapse kuch puchna tha.
ARYA
Ha pucho.
ANAYA
Yeh Amavasya kya hota hai?
Arya gets shocked and chokes on her food. She quickly drinks water.
ARYA
Yeh tumse kisne kaha?
ANAYA
Pari bata rahi thi ki Amavasya ki raat ko bhoot aur shaitaan ghoomte hai. Yeh sab jhooth hai na? Aisa kuch nahi hota.
ARYA
Ha, aisa kuch nahi hota. Yeh sab sirf ek kahani hai bacho ko darane ke liye.
ANAYA
Phir Amavasya hota kya hai?
Arya pauses. She then forces a smile.
ARYA
Amavasya ki raat ko chaand nahi dikhta kyunki uss din chaand Earth aur Sun ke beech mein chupa hota hai to uss raat aasmaan khali hota hai. Bas yahi matlab hai Amavasya ka. Bhoot aur shaitaan sirf kahaniyon mein hote hai.
Anaya smiles, satisfied. Arya watches her... Her smile slowly disappears. She glances toward the window. The sky is already beginning to darken.
INT. ARYA’S HOUSE - NIGHT
At night, dad comes back home. Anaya and Arya meet him. They then set the dinner table while dad goes to freshen up. They all sit together have their dinner.
ANAYA
Papa, khaane ke baad hum teeno sath mein baith kar movie dekhe?
ARYA
Nahi Anaya. Der raat tak nahi jaagna. Aaj to bilkul nahi.
ANAYA
Par kyu? Kal Sunday hai to hum movie kyu nahi dekh sakte raat bhar. Mujhe nahi sona jaldi. Mujhe movie dekhni hai.
ARYA
Maine bola na Anaya. Aaj koi movie night nahi. Khaana khaake chup chaap so jaana.
DAD
Arya, tum aise kyu baat kar rahi ho Anaya se? Uska mann hai aaj movie dekhne ka to dekh lete hai. Isme itni badi baat kya hai? Hum har weekend movie dekhte hai to aaj kyu nahi?
Arya pauses for a bit and then looks at him.
ARYA
Kyunki aaj Amavasya hai papa. Aur mumma hi kehti thi ki Amavasya wale din der raat tak nahi jaagna chahiye.
ANAYA
Par didi aap hi ne to kaha tha ki Amavasya kuch nahi hota. Papa, didi ko bolo na.
DAD
Na main inn sab baato mein manta hu aur na hi tumhari maa maanti thi. Wo bas discipline ke liye kehti thi. Amavasya se uska koi lena-dena nahi tha. Aaj to hum movie dekhege. Tumhe sona hai to tum jaake so sakti ho.
ARYA
(in her mind)
Agar papa aur Anaya der raat tak jaage to mera sach inke saamne aa jaayega. Main yeh hone nahi de sakti. Main inke saamne nahi aa sakti aaj raat.
DAD
To phir, kya socha tumne? Movie ya sona?
ARYA
Main sone jaa rahi hu papa. Main nahi jaag sakti der raat tak.
Arya leaves from there.
ANAYA
Papa, aaj didi ko kya hua? Wo itna weird behave kyu kar rahi hai?
DAD
Pata nahi beta. Tum tension mat lo. Jaldi se khaana finish karo phir hum dono baap beti milkar movie dekhege.
ANAYA
Ok papa!
After dinner, Anaya runs to the couch while Dad looks up at Arya's room, concerned.
DAD
(in his mind)
Subah se iska bartav kitna badla hua hai... zaroor koi baat hai jo yeh mujhse chhupa rahi hai.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM. NIGHT
Arya walks around her room tensed.
ARYA
(to herself)
Aaj raat kuch bhi karke mujhe apne aap ko rokna hi hoga kisi ko nuksaan pahunchane se. Chaahe kitni bhi takleef kyu na ho... main khud ko haarne nahi dungi.
INT. HALL - NIGHT
Dad and Anaya are sitting together and watching a movie. After the movie ends, dad stretches and yawns.
DAD
(sleepy)
Chalo beta. Ab sone chalte hai. Bohot neend aa rahi hai mujhe.
ANAYA
(yawning)
Ha papa! Mujhe bhi bohot neend aa rahi hai.
Anaya runs up to her room. Dad switches off the hall lights. The room falls silent.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - NIGHT
Arya is lying down on her bed not able to sleep. She keeps turning around and looking at the clock. The clock reads 2:50 A.M. Arya swallows hard.
She keeps turning around, sweating. She shuts her eyes, refusing to look at the clock. The room falls silent. Only the ticking of the clock remains. The clock strikes 3:00. Arya slowly opens her eyes. She sits up and turns towards the mirror. She steps off the bed and walks to it. She looks at herself. Her body goes rigid, her hands trembling and fingers curling inward, tightening into fists. Her breathing turns uneven. The reflection lags. Arya exhales but the image in the mirror doesn’t. A faint smile begins to form on the reflection’s face. Arya’s lips remain still. She closes her eyes and slowly opens them again. Thin red veins begin to show in the whites. Her eyes slowly turn red. It doesn’t glow. It just stays. She hears Baba’s voice.
BABA
(v.o.)
Baahar aao Arya. Samay aa gaya hai.
Arya slowly turns away from the mirror but the reflection doesn't. It continues staring... still smiling. Arya walks toward the bedroom door without looking back. She opens it and steps out. The reflection never moves.
EXT. OUTSIDE THE HOUSE - NIGHT
Arya comes outside and sees Baba standing there. Baba walks towards her.
BABA
Waqt aa gaya hai, Arya. Aaj tum apni sabse badi kamzori ko khatam karogi.
Tumhara parivaar. Aaj unka ant tumhare haathon likha jaayega.
Arya stands frozen. A tear rolls down her cheek. Her hands tremble. She tries to speak but nothing comes out. Then...
ARYA
(in demon voice)
Main... tayyar hu.
Arya's tear reaches her chin. Her lips slowly curl into a smile but her eyes remain filled with pain. She then bursts into an inhuman laugh. Her voice echoes around. Baba turns and walks into the shadows until he is no longer visible. The white lilies in the garden wither, their white petals turning dull in the echo of Arya’s laughter.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - DAY
Next morning, Anaya comes running to Arya’s room looking scared and crying.
ANAYA
Didi! Didi!
Arya wakes up hearing Anaya’s voice. Anaya runs to her and hugs her tightly. Arya gets worried seeing Anaya cry.
ARYA
Anaya, kya hua? Ro kyu rahi ho tum?
ANAYA
Didi, maine bohot bura sapna dekha.
Arya pulls back from the hug.
ARYA
Kya sapna dekha?
ANAYA
Maine dekha ki aap ek shaitaan ban gaye ho. Aapki aankhen laal ho gayi hai aur aapki awaaz ekdam heavy. Bilkul shaitaan jaisi. Aapko kuch nahi hua na didi?
Arya gets scared hearing that but tries to control her fear in front of Anaya. She wipes Anaya’s tears.
ARYA
Mujhe kuch nahi hua hai Anaya. Wo bas ek darawna sapna tha. Aur kuch nahi. Tumhari didi bilkul theek hai. Darne ki zaroorat nahi hai.
Anaya brings her little finger forward.
ANAYA
Pinky Promise?
Arya matches her little finger with Anaya’s.
ARYA
Pinky Promise! Tumne kal horror film dekhi thi kya?
Anaya nods her head.
ARYA
Isliye tumhe darawna sapna aaya. Chalo ab rona band karo aur jaao jaake nahalo. Aaj hum mall jaayege ghumne.
ANAYA
Mall? Yayy! Main phata phat jaake ready ho jaati hu.
Anaya leaves from the room. Arya sits there on the bed.
ARYA
(to herself)
Yeh sirf sapna nahi ho sakta. Anaya aur Papa ko sach nahi pata chal sakta.
She gets off the bed and goes towards the mirror. Her eyes slowly turn red. Her eyes in the reflection blinks but she doesn’t. The reflection smiles evilly at her.
REFLECTION
(in demon voice)
Maar do unhe.
The reflection laughs evilly.
ARYA
(in normal voice)
Nahi! Main mar jaaungi par unhe ek kharoch bhi nahi aane dungi.
Arya stares at the reflection, rage building inside her. She thrusts her palm toward the mirror. A burst of red energy explodes from her hand.
CRACK!
The mirror shatters with spiderweb-like fractures.
INT. HALL - DAY
Anaya comes down and sees her dad setting up the breakfast.
ANAYA
Good morning, Papa!
DAD
Good morning my princess. Aa jaao. Breakfast ready hai.
Anaya sits on the table.
DAD
Didi kaha hai? Wo uthi ya nahi?
ANAYA
Ha wo uth gayi hai. Room mein hi hogi.
DAD
Theek hai. Tum shuru karo. Main usko bula ke lata hai.
Dad goes up to Arya’s room.
INT. ARYA’S ROOM - DAY
Dad sees Arya standing in front of a cracked mirror.
DAD
Arya... tum theek ho?
Arya blinks and turns around, her eyes becoming normal.
ARYA
Ji papa.
Dad notices the crack on the mirror.
DAD
Yeh sheesha kaise toota?
ARYA
Pata nahi papa. Maine jab dekha tab aise hi tha.
Dad senses Arya's discomfort as she avoids eye contact.
DAD
Theek hai. Neeche aa jaao. Breakfast thanda ho raha hai.
Dad leaves from the room. Arya turns and looks at the cracked mirror before leaving the room.
INT. BABA’S HOUSE - DAY

Arya, Anaya and dad are getting ready to leave for the mall.

Anaya stands in between Arya and Dad holding their hands as they come out laughing.

Arya hugs her dad. Anaya also joins the hug. They then leave from there in their car.
INT. ARYA’S HOUSE - NIGHT
When they reach home, Anaya stretches and yawns.
ANAYA
Bohot neend aa rahi hai mujhe. Main sone jaa rahi hu.
DAD
Theek hai. So jaao araam se. Kal school bhi jaana hai.
Anaya goes up to her room.
DAD
Arya, tum bhi jaake so jaao. Saare darwaze aur lights check karke main bhi so jaata hu.
ARYA
Uski koi zaroorat nahi hai papa. Aap jaao so jaao. Main dekh lungi sab.
DAD
Theek hai. Par time pe so jaana. Kal college bhi jaana hai.
ARYA
Ji papa.
Dad goes up to his room. Arya walks to the window and looks outside. The white lilies sway gently in the night breeze. Arya watches them in silence.
EXT. GARDEN - NIGHT
Arya goes to the garden and kneels beside the lilies. Her eyes start tearing up.
ARYA
I'm sorry Mumma. Main aapko nahi maarna chahti thi. Main aapse bohot pyaar karti hu... aur har din aapko miss karti hu. Uss din jab aap terrace se gire... main hosh mein hi nahi thi. Mere andar ka shaitaan jaag chuka tha. Agar mere hath mein hota to main aapko kabhi girne hi nahi deti. Main aapko bacha leti. Uss din se lekar aaj tak main khud ko kabhi maaf nahi kar paayi. Arya gently places the lily among the white lilies. She runs her fingers softly over the petals. Tears stream down her face. After a long moment... she wipes her tears, gets up and walks away.
EXT. EMPTY ROAD - NIGHT
Arya wanders around an empty road trying to calm herself down. She hears Baba’s voice in her head warning her. She tries to remove those thoughts from her mind but is not able to. She wanders around frustrated in herself. Suddenly a ball comes rolling towards her. She stops seeing the ball. Just as she picks it up, she sees a small boy in front of her.
BOY
Arya didi, meri ball dedo please.
ARYA
Ball chahiye? Lo.
Arya throws the ball far away.
ARYA
(frustrated)
Jaao. Lelo apni ball. Aur yeh ball dobara mere paas nahi aani chahiye.
The boy runs towards the ball. Arya turns around and walks away. The boy takes the ball and runs behind her.
BOY
Ek minute didi!
Arya stops. She turns around facing him.
ARYA
Kya hai?
BOY
Aapne meri ball kyu phenki?
ARYA
Jaao yaha se. Mujhe akela chod do. Please.
The boy goes near her.
BOY
Aap ro rahe ho?
ARYA
Nahi.
BOY
Jhooth. Aapki aankhon mein aasun hai.
The boy touches her hand to comfort her but gets a current from her. He pulls himself back.
BOY
Ahh! Yeh kya tha? Mujhe aapse current laga.
Arya suddenly hears Baba's voice in her head.
BaBA
(v.o.)
Dekha? Ek aur gawah.
Arya shuts her ears but Baba's voice echoes in her head.
BABA
(v.o.)
Kal pura sheher tumhe shaitaan kahega. Anaya bhi.
The boy notices Arya’s eyes turning red. Arya bends down to his level. She stares closely into his eyes.
ARYA
(in demon voice)
Chale jaao yaha se warna bohot bura hoga tumhare sath.
The boy moves back in fear. Arya's hands begin to tremble. She clutches her head.
BaBA
(v.o.)
Usse jaane mat do Arya.
Arya squeezes her eyes shut. When she opens them...the red has completely taken over. She slowly stands up straight.
ARYA
(in demon voice)
Tumne mujhe dekh liya hai. Ab tum nahi bachoge.
The boy freezes for a moment. He then runs from there scared. Arya hears Baba's voice in her head.
BABA
(v.o.)
Wo bhaag raha hai. Usse roko. Wo tumhare liye khatra hai.
Arya stops him by using her power. Arya stretches out her hand. An invisible force pulls the boy backwards. He slams into the air, suspended helplessly. A red glow erupts from Arya's palm.
BOY
Mujhe chod do please.
ARYA
(in demon voice)
Chod du? Theek hai. Chod deti hu.
Arya pushes him back and he falls down on his back. His head starts bleeding and he falls unconscious. The red glow fades from Arya's eyes.
Silence.
Arya stares at the unconscious boy. Her breathing becomes heavy. She slowly drops to her knees beside him. With trembling hands, she checks his pulse. She exhales in relief when she feels one.
ARYA
(to herself)
Yeh... maine kya kar diya?
EXT. GARDEN - DAY
Arya comes back to the garden. The wind grows heavy making the lilies swirl fast. The lily on the mother’s grave rolls near Arya’s feet. Arya looks down at the lily. She picks it up. She goes near the lilies and kneels beside them. Her eyes start tearing up.
ARYA
Yeh mujhe kya ho gaya hai Mumma? Main jitni koshish karti hu...yeh shaitaan utna hi mujhpe haavi ho jaata hai. Mujhe wo shaitaan nahi banna jo Baba ne mujhe banaya hai. Mujhe wo insaan banna hai jo aapne aur papa ne mujhe banaya hai. Main kya karu? Mujhe raasta dikhao...please.
Arya lowers her head onto the bed of lilies. She breaks down. The wind slowly calms. The lilies stop swaying.
INT. ARYA’S HOUSE - DAY
Next morning, Arya and Anaya come down and see their dad watching the news. They go to him. Arya freezes as she sees the news. A boy's picture flashes on the screen. Anaya goes to her dad and hugs him.
ANAYA
Good morning papa!
DAD
Good morning my princess. Good morning, Arya.
Arya doesn’t respond. Dad looks at her.
DAD
Arya!
Arya comes back from her thoughts.
ARYA
Ha papa?
DAD
Kya hua? Kaha kho gayi?
ARYA
K…Kuch nahi papa. Main yeh news dekh rahi thi.
News reporter
Kal raat ek das saal ka bacha sunsaan sadak par behosh haalat mein mila. Police iss ghatna ki jaanch kar rahi hai.
Arya's face turns pale.
DAD
Bechara...Pata nahi uske sath hua kya hoga. Abhi yeh hospital mein hai.
Anaya looks carefully at the boy’s picture. She gets shocked.
ANAYA
Papa... yeh to Rohan hai. Yeh mera dost hai. Yeh hamare ghar ke paas hi rehta hai.

Dad takes Anaya to the bus stop while Arya keeps standing there looking at the news.

Dad returns after seeing Anaya off. He stops as Arya's words reach him.

Arya turns around and sees her dad standing there.

Arya takes her bag and leaves for college.

Arya is sitting in her class trying to focus but is not able to.

Sab log apne assignments submit kardo.
Everyone submits their assignment except Arya. The professor notices Arya lost somewhere.

Arya doesn’t respond.
PROFESSOR

Arya stands up from her seat.

PROFESSOR

Arya looks toward the classroom door. She clenches her fists. Her breathing becomes heavier. Then she walks out after the professor.

Arya follows the professor. The professor turns around and sees her.
PROFESSOR
Kya hua? Tum mera peecha kyu kar rahi ho?
ARYA
Sir...mujhe assignment ke baare mein baat karni thi.
PROFESSOR
Ha bolo.
ARYA
Yaha pe nahi. Kahi akele jaake baat kare please.
PROFESSOR

The professor studies her worried face for a moment.

The professor follows Arya down the corridor.

Arya and the professor enter an empty classroom.

Arya closes the door. She shuts her eyes.

Zyada mat socho Arya! Uss budhe ko chup karao.
Arya clenches her fist resisting.

Mere paas pura din nahi hai Arya! Jo baat karni hai jaldi karo.
Arya slowly turns. Her breathing grows heavier. Thin red veins spread across the whites of her eyes. Her fingers curl unnaturally. When she opens her eyes... they're completely red. The professor freezes. His eyes widen in disbelief as he instinctively takes a step back.
PrOFESSOR
Arya... yeh... yeh kya ho raha hai tumhe?
Arya moves with him staring at him with her demon eyes.
PROFESSOR
Arya...
Arya stretches her hand. A red glowing light bursts out of her palm and the professor goes flying up. Arya pushes him towards the wall and chokes him. The professor struggles to breathe.
PROFESSOR
Yeh…Yeh kya kar rahi ho tum? Kaun ho tum?
ARYA
(in demon voice)
Tumne mujhe sabke saamne neecha dikhaya. Jo mere saamne sar uthata hai... wo zinda nahi bachta.
Just then, Arya’s phone vibrates. She takes out her phone and sees her dad calling. She freezes for a moment. Her grip loosens. The professor drops to the floor, coughing violently. The red in Arya's eyes flickers. Arya rushes out of the classroom, breathing heavily. The professor stares at the classroom door in horror...unable to understand what he has just witnessed.
EXT. COLLEGE GARDEN - DAY
Arya comes to the garden area and picks up the call.
ARYA
Hello.
DAD
(v.o.)
Tum kaha ho abhi?
ARYA
Main college mein hu papa. Kyu? Kya hua?
DAD
(v.o.)
Abhi ghar aao. Terrace par milna mujhe. Aur haan... der mat karna.
Dad cuts the call. Arya stands there confused.
ARYA
(to herself)
Papa ko kya hua ekdam se? Kahin unhe mere baare mein kuch pata to nahi chal gaya?
As Arya reaches the college gate, she notices a female professor speaking frantically to the security guard.
PROFESSOR
Jaldi! Classroom mein koi behosh pada hai!
The security guard immediately calls for an ambulance. Arya freezes.

(in her mind)

Arya lowers her gaze. Unable to look back, she quietly walks away.
EXT. ARYA’S HOUSE TERRACE - DAY
Arya comes to the terrace and sees her dad standing at the edge, looking at the view. She goes towards him.

Dad turns around facing her. He walks towards her.
DAD
Ha to Arya… Arya bula sakta hu na main tumhe? Ya kuch aur bulau?
ARYA
Aap aise kyu bol rahe ho papa? Kya hua?
DAD

ARYA

Arya starts sweating.

Arya wipes off her sweat, panicking.

Dad stares at Arya. His face drains of color. He takes a step back, unable to process what he has just heard.

He looks down at the magical water, still talking to Chaaya.

Arya stops in her tracks.

The rage disappears from Arya's face.
The red in her eyes flickers... then fades.

Dad looks at her confused.

Arya sees her dad coming outside. She runs to him.

Papa... I know aap mujhse baat nahi karna chahte par hume Anaya ko dhundhna hoga. Usse pehle Aunty ko hosh mein laana hoga. Wo hi hume sach tak le jaa sakti hai.

Arya nods her head. Dad looks at the old lady.

Main paani leke aata hu. Tum ambulance bulaao.
Dad goes inside while Arya calls for the ambulance. Dad brings water. Arya takes it and sprinkles it on the lady.

Aunty... Uthiye please.
The old lady slowly opens her eyes. Arya gently supports her.
ARYA
Aunty... Anaya kahan hai?
The old lady struggles to breathe.
OLD LADY
Wo... wo usse le gaye.
ARYA

The sound of the ambulance approaches. Paramedics rush over, place her on the stretcher and take her. Arya watches helplessly. She notices Anaya's school bag lying on the roadside. She runs to it. It's torn open. Books are scattered on the road. Arya kneels down and clutches the bag tightly. Her eyes tear up.
ARYA
Anaya...
Dad goes to Arya and kneels beside her.
DAD
Yeh to Anaya ka bag hai. Dikhao idhar.
Dad takes the bag and searches inside.
ARYA
Kya dhundh rahe ho papa?
DAD
Koi aisi cheez jo hume Anaya tak pahuncha sake.
Dad searches frantically but doesn't find anything. He keeps the bag down, giving up.
Just then, a gentle breeze blows. One white lily petal lands inside the bag. It gets tucked beneath a folded piece of paper. Arya notices it. She pulls out the paper.
DAD
Yeh kya hai?
ARYA
Yeh koi receipt hai.
Arya reads the location on the receipt.
ARYA
Papa... Yeh dekhiye. Godown No. 17... Old Mill Road.
Dad takes the receipt.
DAD
Kya pata Anaya ko yaha chupaya ho?
ARYA
Dekhte hai jaake.
Arya and dad go to dad's car. Dad opens the driver's door. He looks at Arya.

Arya and Dad reach the location. They run inside and search for Anaya.

The warehouse is empty.
Broken crates lie scattered across the floor. Rusted chains hang from the ceiling. An old chair lies overturned. A length of rope lies cut on the floor.
Arya notices a small ribbon on the floor. She picks it up.
It's Anaya's.
Her breathing quickens.
She searches every corner frantically.
ARYA
Anaya!
Silence.
Arya kneels down and breaks down crying.
ARYA
Sab meri wajah se hua hai. Anaya...
Dad feels worried seeing Arya break down. He goes to her and gently touches her shoulder.
DAD
Arya...Mil jaayegi Anaya. Mujhe pata hai... tum usse kuch nahi hone dogi. Abhi himmat haarne ka waqt nahi hai. Utho.
Dad makes her get up.
Arya can no longer hold herself together.
She throws her arms around her father.
For a brief moment...He doesn't react.
Then he slowly wraps his arms around her.
Arya breaks down completely.
EXT. OUTSIDE WAREHOUSE - EVENING
Arya and Dad come out, with just Anaya's ribbon in hand.
ARYA

DAD
Wo log yaha aaye the. Par unhe khabar mil gayi ki hum aa rahe hai. Zyaada door nahi gaye hoge wo log.
ARYA
Baba...Wo mujh par nazar rakh rahe hai.
DAD
Tum usse jaanti ho, Arya. Shayad tum hi hume Anaya tak pahucha sakti ho.
Arya nods her head.
She closes her eyes and grips Anaya's ribbon.

Arya rushes towards the car. Dad, confused, quietly follows her.

Baba watches the magical water. Arya and Dad get into the car. Baba's expression hardens.

BABA
Arya kisi bhi haalat mein Anaya tak nahi pahunchni chahiye. Agar zaroorat pade... to Anaya ko khatam kar dena.

Chaaya walks away. Baba continues staring into the magical water.

Anaya sits tied to a chair. She's still unconscious. One of the kidnappers’ paces nervously. Another keeps watch near the window.
A phone rings. The man answers.
KIDNAPPER

INT. CHAYYA'S CAR - EVENING
CHAAYA
Arya tumhare kareeb pahunch rahi hai. Use turant wahan se hatao.
KIDNAPPER
Ji.
CHAAYA
Aur suno... Agar woh tum tak pahunch jaaye... to ladki zinda nahi bachni chahiye.
The kidnapper goes silent for a moment. He looks at the unconscious Anaya.
KIDNAPPER
Samajh gaya.
He hangs up the call.
KIDNAPPER
Uthao isse. Yahan se nikalna hoga.

Baba ka aadesh hai. Jaldi karo.
They quickly untie Anaya. Still unconscious, she hangs limp in their arms as they carry her out.
INT. DAD'S CAR - EVENING
Dad drives the car as fast as he can.
DAD
Ab to batao. Hum jaa kahan rahe hai? Anaya kahan hai?
Arya stares ahead, tense.
ARYA
Bas jaldi chaliye, Papa. Der ho gayi to hum Anaya tak kabhi nahi pahunch paayege.
Dad presses harder on the accelerator.
ext. ABANDONED BUILDING - NIGHT
Arya and Dad reach the building. Arya quickly gets off the car. She stops in front of the red gate. The faded board reads: "Anand Bal Ashram". When dad comes out and sees the name, he freezes.
DAD
Yeh...
ARYA
Kya hua papa?
DAD
Tumhe iss jagah ke baare mein kaise pata?
ARYA
Main yaha thi... Aisa lagta hai jaise iss jagah se mera koi rishta hai.
Dad stares at her.
A long beat. He looks back at the orphanage.
DAD
Ha... rishta hai tumhara iss jagah se.
ARYA

Dad struggles to speak.
DAD
Humne... Humne tumhe issi ashram se god liya tha.
Silence. Arya just stares at him.
ARYA
Main... Adopted hoon?
Dad doesn't face her. He just looks at the orphanage. His eyes fill with tears. Arya looks from her father... to the orphanage. A faint sound echoes from inside the building. Arya snaps out of it.

Anaya!
She rushes inside. Dad wipes his tears and follows.
INT. ORPHANAGE - NIGHT
Arya and dad rush inside the orphanage. They search each and every room.
ARYA
Anaya!
DAD
Anaya!
Arya throws open one door.
Empty.
Another room.
Empty.
She runs into another.
Nothing.
Dad's eyes go towards the backyard as he notices a van racing out of the orphanage grounds. He catches a glimpse of Anaya's school uniform through the rear window.
DAD
Arya!
Arya goes to her dad and notices the van. She runs behind it, increasing her speed using her power.
EXT. ORPHANAGE - NIGHT
Arya stops midway. Her eyes slowly turn red. She throws her palm toward the fleeing vehicle.
The van jerks violently.
Its tires screech across the road.
The kidnappers look back, horrified.
KIDNAPPER
Yeh kya...
The driver slams the accelerator.
The engine ROARS.
Arya grits her teeth.
The van inches backward...then lurches forward again.
The force is too much.
Arya screams with effort.
Her nose starts bleeding.
DAD
Arya!
With one final surge...The van skids sideways...and crashes into a tree.
Arya runs towards the van. Dad follows her. The kidnappers jump off the van. One of them drags Anaya out and holds a knife to her throat. Arya and dad are forced to stop.
AnAYA
Didi...
KIDNAPPER
Ek kadam bhi aage badhaya to iska gala kaat dunga.
ARYA
Usse chod do... Please... Jo karna hai mere sath karo.
KIDNAPPER
Tumhara hisaab Baba karenge. Usse pehle... iss bachi ka hisaab hoga.
AnAYA
Didi... please bachao mujhe.
DAD

Just then, they hear a car sound. Arya and Dad turn around and see a black SUV. Chaaya steps out slowly. She smiles.

Mujhe pata tha... tum yaha tak zaroor pahunchogi.
She looks at the kidnapper.

Maar do bachi ko.
Arya looks at her shocked. The kidnappers hesitate.
KIDNAPPER
Lekin Baba ne...
CHAAYA
Yeh Baba ka hi aadesh hai.
The kidnapper is about to slit her throat. Just then...
ARYA

Arya shuts her eyes.
ARYA

Arya opens her eyes. Everyone turns around. Baba slowly walks towards Arya.

Anaya ko chod do... Aap jo bologe... main wo karungi.
BABA

Dad softly touches Arya's shoulder.

Arya starts getting flashes.

Mom falling from the terrace.

Arya looks at Anaya. Then at dad. She cannot answer.
Baba slowly loses his patience. He looks at the kidnappers.

The kidnapper tightens his grip on Anaya. The knife presses against her throat. A thin line of blood appears on her neck.
Anaya winces.
Arya screams with full power.
A violent burst of red energy EXPLODES from her body.
BOOM!
A shockwave tears through the orphanage grounds.
Everyone is thrown backwards.
The kidnappers crash into the ground.
Chaaya stumbles.
Even Baba is forced back a few steps.
The knife flies out of the kidnapper's hand.
Dust fills the air.
Silence.
Dad is the first to recover.
He rushes to Anaya and unties her.
DAD
Anaya!
Anaya clings to him, terrified.
The kidnappers slowly get back on their feet.
CHAAYA
Pakdo unhe!
The kidnappers charge toward Dad and Anaya.
Dad shields Anaya behind him.
DAD
Khabardaar agar meri bachi ko hath bhi lagaya to.
Before the kidnappers can reach them, Arya lands in front.
Her eyes still glow red.
She blocks their path.
The kidnappers hesitate.

Arya slowly turns.
Her eyes lock onto Baba.
For a brief moment, neither of them move.
Then, Baba smiles.
BABA
Ab aayi na apni asli shakal mein.
Arya clenches her fists.
ARYA
Aaj... Sab khatam ho jaayega.
Baba raises his hand.
Dark energy begins swirling around him.
Arya raises hers.
Red energy crackles around her palm.
The wind howls.
Leaves swirl into the air.
Dad pulls Anaya farther back.
He watches helplessly.
BOOM!
Arya and Baba launch themselves at each other.
AnAYA
Ruk jaao didi. Aap aisi nahi ho.
Arya doesn't look at Anaya.
ARYA

Dad pulls Anaya close as she cries uncontrollably. She closes her eyes and slowly goes into flashback.
INT. ANAYA’S ROOM - day - FLASHBACK
Anaya is sitting in her room hugging her mom and crying.
ANAYA
Mumma, aap kahi mat jaana please. Mujhe bhoot se bohot dar lagta hai. Aap chali jaaongi to wo bhoot phirse mere sapne mein aake mujhe darayega.
Her mom wipes her tears.
MOM
Mumma tumhare paas hi hai, shona. Tumhe kuch nahi hone dungi main. Mumma paas hai to darne ki kya baat? Chalo ab so jaao. Main tumhare paas hi hu.
ANAYA
Par mumma, agar wo bhoot dobara mere sapne mein aaya to?

Arya and Baba start feeling uneasy.
BABA
Chup kar jaa ladki.
ANAYA
Raamdoot atulit bal dhamma. Anjaniputra pavansut namma.
They both hold their heads. Baba looks at the kidnappers.
BABA
Tum log mera muh kya dekh rahe ho. Chup karao isse.
Old LADY
(o.c.)
Isse ab koi nahi rok sakta. Tum bhi nahi.
Baba turns around and sees the old lady walking towards him.
OlD LADY
Kya hua? Chauk gaye?
BABA
Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?
OLD LADY
Wo hi jo ek dadi ko karna chahiye. Main apni poti ko bachane aayi hu.
Everyone freezes.
BABA
Kya bakwaas kar rahi ho tum?
OLD LADY
Bakwaas nahi... Sach.
BABA
Tumhara Arya se koi rishta nahi hai.
OLD LADY
Hai. Bohot gehra rishta hai. Arya meri poti hai.
Arya stares at the lady, tears rolling down her eyes.

(smirks)

The old lady ignores him and walks towards Arya.

Arya freezes. Dad and Anaya look shocked.

Main chup nahi rahungi. Aaj Arya sach jaanegi.
Baba's face changes.

Chaaya goes to her car and brings a gun. She points the gun at the old lady.

She looks at Arya.

EXT. EMPTY ROAD - NIGHT
Rain lashes the deserted road.
An old woman struggles through the storm, carrying a newborn baby wrapped tightly in a white cloth.
She shields the baby with her own body.
She reaches the locked gates of Anand Bal Ashram.
With trembling hands...She pounds on the iron gate.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Moments later, a watchman appears with an umbrella.
He opens the gate, looks at the old lady, and then at the baby.
INT. ORPHANAGE - NIGHT
The old lady enters the orphanage.
She kisses the baby's forehead.
She holds her for one last moment...then, with trembling hands, places the baby into the caretaker's arms.
She signs on the papers, hands trembling and tears rolling down her eyes.
She turns to leave.
After a few steps...she stops.
She looks back one last time.
The baby begins crying.
The old lady's eyes fill with tears.
She forces herself to walk away...without looking back again.

EXT. ORPHANAGE - NIGHT
Arya's eyes become red.
ARYA
Aapne... mujhe chod kyu diya?
OLD LADY
Main chahti thi ki tujhe maa baap ka pyaar mile. Main chahti thi ki koi tujhe god le aur wo saari khushiya de jo tujhse cheen li gayi thi. Par mujhe nahi pata tha ki meri yeh chaahat... tere liye nuksaan ban jaayegi.
Before, she could continue...she gets hit by a bullet from behind. After three bullets, the old lady falls to the ground. Arya sees the gun in Baba's hands. She screams seeing her grandmother fall.
ARYA
DADI!!
Arya drops to her knees, breaking down. Anaya kneels down near the old lady.
AnAYA
Dadi... utho na. Didi...kya hua inhe?
Dad pulls back Anaya and hugs her tightly. The old lady breathes heavily.
OlD LADY
(whispers)
Anaya... Locket...
Before she could finish her sentence, her breathing stops. Arya looks at Anaya. Her eyes fall on the locket around Anaya's neck. The old lady's final words echo in her ears.
"Anaya... Locket..."
BaBA
(smirks)
Iss budhiya ke sath tumhara raaz bhi khatam ho gaya.
Arya looks at him. She slowly stands up and walks towards him in rage, her hands covered in her grandmother's blood.
ARYA
Aaj...na tum bachoge...na tumhari burai.
BABA
Ab dikhai di na mujhe meri Arya.
ARYA
Main kabhi tumhari thi hi nahi. Sach batao Baba. Main kaun hu aur kya kiya tumne mere sath?
BABA
Tumhe kya lagta hai? Main tumhe itni asaani se sach bata dunga? Marr jaaunga par sach nahi bataunga.

Aaj tumhe bolna hi padega. Bolo!
BABA
Bhulo mat Arya... Tumhari har taakat... meri den hai.
ARYA
Nahi... Taakat meri thi. Tumne bas uska galat istemaal kiya. Main kaun hoon...yeh tum bhi jaante ho. Aur main bhi jaan kar rahungi.
Arya closes her eyes and screams loudly with all her power.
A heavy wind pushes baba behind. He falls to the ground.
ARYA
Aaj tumhara ant... Main karungi.
Baba slowly stands up. They both face each other.
BABA
Maar do. Yahi to sikhaya tha maine tumhe.
Arya stretches her hand. A red light bursts out of her palm. Anaya runs to her and pulls her hand down.
AnAYA
Nahi didi. Aisa mat karo. Unke jaise mat bano.
Arya freezes.
The red glow in her eyes flicker.
AnAYA
Agar aapne unhe maara to aap mein aur unmein koi farak nahi rahega. Mumma ki seekh bhool gaye kya?
Arya's eyes fill with tears. She hears her mom's voice in her head.
Mom
(v.o.)
Arya... Burai ko haraana... uske jaisa bann jaana nahi hota.
The red glow in Arya's eyes slowly fade away. Baba smiles.
BABA
(smirks)
Dekha? Yahi tumhari sabse badi kamzori hai. Tum mujhe maar hi nahi sakti.
ARYA
Tum sahi keh rahe ho. Main tumhe maarungi nahi. Maut to tumhare liye bohot choti saza hogi. Mujhe tumse sach chahiye.

Arya doesn't respond. She slowly turns away and walks towards Anaya.
BABA
Kya hua? Haar maan liya?
Arya looks at Anaya's locket. The old lady's voice echoes in her head.
"Anaya... Locket..."
ARYA
Anaya... Apna locket dena.
Anaya looks at her locket, confused. She slowly takes it off and hands it over to Arya. Baba looks at her, confused.
Arya opens the locket. Inside is a photograph of a young man, a pregnant lady and Baba standing beside them.
Arya freezes seeing Baba in the photograph.
She takes out the photograph and turns it to see behind.
Behind the photo is a small handwritten note which says, "Tumhare asli Maa-Papa. Raghav aur Meera."
She looks at Baba and walks towards him. He looks at her, confused.
ARYA
Tum mere mumma papa ko... pehle se jaante the?
Baba's smile fades away.
BABA

Baba looks at the photograph... then at the old lady's body. He lets out a slow laugh.

ANAYA
Par main to kisi ko nahi daraati. Maine kya mistake ki hai jo aap mujhe itni badi punishment de rahe ho?
BABA
Abhi tak tumne koi mistake nahi ki. Par jiss din tumhe apne janam ka sach pata chal gaya... ussi din mera ant likh diya jaayega.
Chaaya looks at him. Baba goes silent realizing he said too much.
Arya looks at locket. She tightens it in her palm and closes her eyes.
Flashes:
Anaya praying in the temple.
Old lady putting the locket on Anaya.
OlD LADY
Agar kabhi Arya andhere mein kho jaaye... sirf tum usse waapis laa sakti ho.
Arya opens her eyes. She looks at Anaya. The old lady's words echo in her ears. For the first time... she doesn't see a helpless sister. She sees hope. Baba notices the change in Arya's eyes. His smile slowly fades.
BABA
Nahi...
Arya slowly walks towards Anaya.
BABA
Arya ko uske paas mat jaane do. Pakde rakho usse Chaaya.
Chaaya holds Anaya tight.
CHAAYA
Ruk jaao Arya. Ek kadam bhi aur aage badhaya... to tumhari behan zinda nahi bachegi.
Arya looks at her dad. He slowly goes behind Chaaya and pulls her hand back. Her gun falls to the ground. Dad pushes Chaaya away.
BABA
Arya ruk jaao warna... bohot bura hoga.
Arya ignores him. She kneels down in front of Anaya. She brings her hand in front in which she has the locket. Anaya holds Arya hand. The locket between their palms glows lightly.
ARYA
Mujhe maaf kardo Anaya.
AnAYA
Aapne kuch galat nahi kiya didi. Main hoon aapke sath.
Arya puts Anaya's other hand on top of her hand. She then puts her hand on top of Anaya's. Arya slowly closes her eyes.
Baba stumbles backwards.
His powers begin weakening.
BABA
Nahi... Yeh nahi ho sakta.
ChAAYA
Baba... aapki shaktiyaan...
Arya starts trembling violently.
Her grip tightens around Anaya's hands.
A tear of black smoke begins tearing itself out of Arya's body.
Baba clutches his chest in pain.
BABA
Nahi...
CHAAYA
Baba! Kya ho raha hai aapko?
BABA
Meri shakti... mujhe chod rahi hai.
The wind becomes stronger.
The trees bend.
The ground starts shaking.
Everyone struggles to keep their balance.
The black smoke stops halfway. It refuses to leave Arya completely.
Arya gasps in pain. Blood trickles from her nose.
AnAYA
Didi...
Just then, the old lady's reminder echoes in Anaya's ears.
"Agar kabhi Arya andhere mein kho jaaye... sirf tum usse waapis laa sakti ho."
Anaya hugs Arya tightly.
The locket is pressed between their hearts.
AnaYA
Main aapko kahi nahi jaane dungi. Aap meri didi ho... aur hamesha rahogi.
Arya breaks down. She hugs Anaya back and starts crying.
Baba looks at them, terrified.
BABA
Nahi... Tumhari nafrat hi meri taakat thi.
The black smoke erupts from Arya's body in one massive blast.
It shoots across the ground and flies straight into Baba.
BABA
AAAAAAAHHHHH!!
His body begins cracking with black veins.
He falls to his knees.
Chaaya runs to him.
CHAAYA
Baba... Aapki shakti.
Baba struggles. He slowly collapses to the ground.
CHAAYA
BABA!!
Arya and Anaya stick to each other. Dad's eyes fill with tears seeing them together.
He goes to them, kneels down and hugs both his girls tightly.
INT. ARYA'S ROOM - DAY
Next morning, Arya and Anaya are sitting together in Arya's room. Anaya is feeding soup to Arya.
AnAYA
Abhi kaisa lag raha hai aapko?
ARYA
Acha lag raha hai. Tum jo ho mere paas.
ANAYA
Main hamesha aapke paas rahungi.
ARYA
Anaya... main tumhe kuch batana chahti hu.
ANAYA
Kya didi?
ARYA
Aaj main sab sach kehna chahti hu aur apne dil ko halka karna chahti hu.
ANAYA
Aisa kya sach hai didi? Aap mujhe dara rahe ho.
ARYA
Chalo mere sath.
Arya takes Anaya from the room.
EXT. GARDEN - DAY
Arya takes Anaya towards the lilies. She kneels down to her level.
ARYA
Tumhe yeh lilies bohot pasand hai na?
ANAYA
Ha. Bohot pasand hai. Isko dekh ke mujhe mumma ki yaad aati hai aur aisa lagta hai jaise mumma paas mein hi hai.
ARYA
Aaj main tumhe kuch aisa batane jaa rahi hu jisse tumhe bohot bada jhatka lagega par promise karo ki tum apni didi se gussa nahi hogi.
Arya holds out her little finger.
ARYA
Pinky Promise?
Anaya holds Arya’s little finger with hers.
ANAYA
Pinky Promise. Main aapse gussa nahi houngi.
ARYA
Tum hamesha mujhse puchti thi na ki mumma ki death kaise hui? Unhe kya hua tha.
Anaya nods her head.
ARYA
Mumma ko mera sach pata chal gaya tha. Unhone mere andar ke shaitaan ko dekh liya tha. Main bohot dar gayi thi. Mujhe samajh mein nahi aaya ki main kya karu. Mujhe dar tha ki mumma tumhe aur papa ko mera sach bata dengi. Maine unhe bohot samjhane ki koshish ki par wo nahi samjhi. Mere andar ke shaitaan ko bohot gussa aaya aur maine unhe… Maine unhe maar diya. Maine mumma ko terrace se dhakka de diya tha. Jab mujhe hosh aaya to bohot guilty feel hua. Isliye maine mumma ko unke favorite lilies ke paas dafna diya taaki main roz yaha aake unse maafi maang saku. Aaj tak main unse maafi maangti hu uss raat ke liye.
Anaya gets shocked. She steps back. Her eyes start tearing up.
ANAYA
Aa…Aapne maara hai meri mumma ko? Nahi. Yeh nahi ho sakta. Kyu? Kyu maara aapne meri mumma ko? Aap unki asli beti bhi nahi thi...phir bhi Mumma aapse itna pyaar karti thi. Aapne mujhse meri maa ko cheen liya. I hate you!
Anaya turns away. Arya goes to her and holds her ears.
ARYA
I’m sorry Anaya. Main nahi maarna chahti thi mumma ko. Mera bharosa karo please. I know main unki asli beti nahi hu... par wo meri puri duniya thi. Main unse bohot pyaar karti hu.
ANAYA
Agar aap unse pyaar karte to aap unhe maarte nahi. Kaise bharosa karu main aap par. Aapne mujhse mera sab kuch cheen liya. Main hamesha sochti thi ki maine hi kuch galat kaam kiya hoga isliye God ne mujhse meri mumma cheen li. Par nahi. Galat kaam maine nahi, aapne kiya hai. Aapne cheena hai meri mumma ko mujhse. Main aapko kabhi maaf nahi karungi.
Arya softly holds Anaya’s hands.
ARYA
I know. Mujhse bohot badi galti hui hai. Iss galti ke liye mujhe kabhi maafi nahi milni chahiye. Par Anaya, please apni didi se door mat jaao. Didi tumhare bina nahi reh sakti. Tum mujhe punish karo. Tum jo punishment dongi, mujhe manzoor hai. Par please, mujhse nafrat mat karo. Didi loves you so much.
Anaya pushes back her hands.
ANAYA
Nahi. Main aapko punish nahi karungi. Aapko to God hi punish karege. Main aapko kabhi maaf nahi karne wali. Chale jaao yaha se.
ARYA
Please Anaya. Mujhe apne se door mat karo. Mere paas tumhare alawa kuch nahi bacha. Tum bhi mujhse door ho gayi... to main ekdam akeli padh jaaungi.
Anaya starts crying. She looks into Arya's eyes.
ANAYA
Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha main kya karun. Main aapko maaf nahi kar sakti... Par main aapko akela bhi nahi dekh sakti. Aap rote ho to mujhe bhi rona aata hai.
Arya wipes Anaya's tears.
ARYA
Koi baat nahi. Main intezaar karungi. Jab tak tum mujhe maaf nahi kar deti... tab tak.
Arya holds Anaya's hands.
ARYA
I promise you Anaya. Aaj ke baad wo shaitaan kabhi nahi aayega. Aur main promise karti hu ki main wo saari khushiyan waapis laaungi jo meri wajah se chali gayi thi.
Anaya hugs Arya and cries.
Arya hugs Anaya tight, not able to stop her tears. Their dad sees this and gets emotional. He quickly wipes his tears.
DAD
Mujhe bhool gaye tum dono?
Arya stands up.
ARYA
Nahi papa. Hum aapko kaise bhool sakte hai.
Dad goes to them.
A small petal touches Arya's feet.
A soft breeze passes through the garden as she picks it up.
All three look at the lilies.
A small smile appears across their faces.
Dad slowly hugs both his daughters, looking at the lilies.
DAD
Thank you...
The lilies sway together.
POST CREDIT SCENE
INT. BABA’S HOUSE - DAY
The house is silent.
Broken. Empty.
Chaaya slowly walks inside.
She stops in front of Baba's seat.
A small diary lies beside it.
She picks it up.
As she opens it, a thin wisp of black smoke escapes from the diary.
A slow smile spreads across her face as she reads.
CHAAYA
Yeh kahaani... abhi khatam nahi hui hai.
She slowly closes the diary.
She keeps it on Baba's seat and slowly walks into the darkness.
INSERT - THE DIARY
On its worn leather cover are the words:
"AGLA WAARIS"
