නිම්නයක වැතිර

ශෝකාකූල අළු පිඬැලිවල

ජීවිතය නැවත අවදිවන හැටි

"හැමදේම ආයිමත් යහපත් ව ඉපදේවි"

සිතා ඉන්නට ආසයි

නිම්නයක වැතිර

හිතින් වත්කර තනිකම

පිටි අල්ලෙ තියාගෙන

හීතලේ මැද්දෙ

දුම් වෙලා විසිවන

මගෙ හුස්ම දැක දැක

බිඳෙන් බිඳ විඳින්නට ආසයි

"හැමදේම කොහොමත් සතුටින්ම නිම වේවි"

කියන්නට ආසයි

නිම්නයක වැතිර

වළාකුළු පෙළින් පෙළ රැස් ව

ජනසන්නිපාතයක් ව අහසම

දවසකම මැසිවිලි

කියවද්දි හිරු මව්ට

අවසාන හුස්ම පොද වැටි-වැටී මිය යන

ලෝකයම එක් කොට

කරුවළ පොවා මත්කර

"හැමදේම ආයිමත් අලුතින්ම ඉපදේවි"

හිතින්වත් සිතාගෙන

නිදන්නට ආසයි
