කළු තාරා පියාපත

දියෙන් කිර - කිරෙන් දිය වෙන්කරන කුමරාණ

කළුවරේ සැඟවිලා කළු පියාපත් හලන

සිහිනයෙන් දකින්නට නිල් පිරුණු හංස විල

ඇස් වසාගනියි නුඹෙ කළු තාර (තාරා) පියාපත

රුදුරු රොස් පොරොස් බස සිතට සැත් තුඩු අනින

සුදෝසුදු හංස තටු පමා බව යළි කියන

කිරි සයුර කිරි පාට රළ රැළිති මතු කරන

ඉකි බිඳින නුඹේ ඇස් පුරා හස රූ අඳින

විස්මපත් ලොවින් මහ සාධුකාරය ගලන

විල් තෙරක මතු පිපෙන හංස ගීතය අසන
