நாம் இல்லாத நாளை எப்படி இருக்கும்?

யாரும் வராதே என்று சொல்வதற்கோ

ஏன் வந்தாய் என கேட்பதற்கோ

அதற்கு அனுமதி தேவையில்லை

அது அதன் போக்கில் விடியத்தான் போகிறது - அதிகாலை

உங்களுக்கு நெருக்கமானவர்கள் மட்டும்

உங்கள் பிரிவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள சற்று தாமதமாகிப்போகும்

வீட்டின் கடிகாரம் எப்போதும் போல

நகர்ந்து கொண்டுதான் இருக்கும்.

உங்கள் அறையின் யன்னல் கதவுகள்

வேறு கரங்களினால் எப்போதும் போல திறக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்

உங்கள் அறையை அலங்கரித்த பூந்தொட்டி

வேறொருவரினால் மலர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்கும்.

வாசித்து பாதியில் மூடிய புத்தகம்

திறக்கப்படும் வாசகர்களினால் புத்தகத்தோடு

உங்களையும் சேர்த்தே தெரிந்து கொள்ளப்படும்.

நீங்கள் நேசித்தவர்களும் உங்களை நேசித்தவர்களும்

உங்களை நினைத்து கொள்ள கூடும்.

எங்கோ அறிமுகம் இல்லாத மூன்றாம் நபருக்கு

பத்திரிகை செய்தியாக இருப்பீர்கள்.

அன்பிற்குரியவர்களின் உயிரிலும் உணர்வுகளிலும்

நினைவுகளாக நீங்கள் பயணத்தை தொடரலாம்.

ஒரு வார்த்தைகளில் நீங்கள் இருக்கலாம்.

ஒரு செயல் உங்களை ஞாபகப்படுத்தலாம்

ஒரு உணவில் நினைத்துக்கொள்ளலாம்.

ஒரு பயணத்தில் தேடலாக இருக்கலாம்.

ஒரு புன்னகையில் கலந்திருக்கலாம்.

இவை அனைத்திலும் நீங்கா நினைவுளாக

விழியோர கண்ணீரில்

அவர்களின் உங்கள் மீதான

அன்பும் வெளிப்பட்டு போகும் .

ஆசையாய் வளர்த்த நாய்க்குட்டியும் பூனைக்குட்டியும்

அவ்வப்போது உங்களை தேடலாம்

அரவணைக்கும் கைகளைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு

தங்கள் பசியை போக்கிக் கொள்ளும்.

தினசரி வாழ்வியலோடு பொருந்திப்போன

தொலைபேசி அழைப்புக்களின் ஒலியும்

குறுஞ்செய்திகளின் அறிவிப்புக்களும் துண்டிக்கப்பட்டு போகும்.

நாளை சந்திக்கலாம் என்று சொல்லி சிரிப்புடன் விடைபெற்ற

நண்பனின் சந்திப்புக்கள் அன்றுடனே முற்றுப்பெற்றிருக்கும்.

நீங்கள் அண்ணார்ந்து பார்த்து ரசித்த

இருளிலும் தன் இயல்பான அழகால் ஜொலிக்கும்

மொட்டைமாடி நிலா அங்கேயே தான் நின்றுகொண்டிருக்கும்

‘நாம் இல்லை என்றாலும்

நாளை இருந்து கொண்டே தான் இருக்கும். ’
