(தமிழின் சிற்றிலக்கியங்களுள் ஒன்றான ‘சித்திரக்கவி’யின் ஒரு வகையே கரந்துறைச் செய்யுள். கீழுள்ள கவிதையில் ஒரு பழமொழி (கரந்து)மறைந்து காணப்படுகிறது)

கலித்துறை

அகத்தின் உள்ளே அழகுற விளங்கும் பொருளெலாம்

அகத்தன் நிலையை அறியா தெனினும் ஆன்றோர்

முகத்தில் தெரியும் மனதின் ஓட்டம் கண்டே

பகர்வார் அவனின் களிப்பையும் துயரையும் நன்றாய்
