सुनो बिटिया...

सुनो बिटिया,

तुम मेरी दुनियां के आकाश का

वह उजला चॉंद हो,

जिसकी शीतल चांदनी से

मेरे घ़र का हर कोना

रोशन हो जाता है।

तुम सुबह की पहली किरण हो,

जो मेरी खिड़की से उतरकर

मेरी ज़िंदगी के आंगन में

उम्मीद के रंग भर देती है।

तुम्हारी एक मुस्कान के आगे

दिन की सारी थकान

जाने कहां खो जाती है।

तुम वह मंद-मंद पुरवइया हो

जिसका स्पर्श मिलते ही

मन को सुकून मिलता है,

और सच कहूं

जब कुछ देर तुमसे बात न हो

तो जैसे सांसों की लय भी

मुझे अपना पता पूछने लगती है।

तुम लहराती हुई वह नदी हो

जो बहते-बहते

मेरे दामन में आ सिमटती है,

और मैं

एक शांत समुद्र बनकर

तुम्हारी हर लहर को

अपने सीने में समेट लेती हूं।

तुम मेरे आंगन की वह बगिया हो

जहां फूल तुम्हारी हंसी से खिलते हैं,

जहां तुम्हारी चहक से

सुबह होती है

और तुम्हारी आवाज़ से

घ़र को घ़र होने का एहसास मिलता है।

तुम बहार हो मेरी बिटिया,

तुम हंसो तो

हर मौसम सावन लगता है,

तुम्हारे चेहरे पर खिली ख़ुशी

मेरे मन पर

बूंद-बूंद बरसती है।

और जब तुम रूठ जाती हो,

तो जाने क्यों

मेरे भीतर का मौसम

अचानक पतझड़ हो जाता है।

कड़ाके की सर्दी में

तुम गुनगुनी धूप हो

जिसमें बैठकर

मैं अपने बीते हुए दुखों को

कुछ देर के लिए भूल जाती हूं,

और तुम्हारे होने की गर्माहट में

फ़िर से जीना सीखती हूं।

बिटिया,

मैं अधूरी थी

जैसे कोई अधूरी-सी कहानी,

तुम मेरे जीवन में आई

और मेरे अस्तित्व को

एक पूरा अर्थ दे गई।

तुमने मुझे मां कहा

और उसी एक शब्द ने

मेरी सारी पहचान बदल दी।

तुमसे पहले

मैं सिर्फ़ मैं थी,

तुम्हारे आने के बाद

मेरी दुनियां में

एक नया आसमान जुड़ गया।

कैसे बताऊं

तुम क्या हो मेरे लिए?

तुम मेरी धरती हो,

तुम मेरा आसमान हो,

तुम मेरी प्रार्थना का उत्तर हो,

तुम मेरी आंखों की चमक,

मेरे मन की शांति

और मेरी ज़िंदगी की सबसे सुंदर वज़ह हो।

तुम्हारा यश

मेरी कमाई है।

तुम्हारी सफ़लता

मेरी ख़ुशी है।

तुम्हारा अच्छा नाम

मेरी सबसे बड़ी पूँजी है।

और तुम्हारे संस्कार

मेरे जीवन की वह संपत्ति हैं

जिसे कोई समय

कभी मुझसे छीन नहीं सकता।

कल तक

लोग तुम्हें मेरे नाम से पहचानते थे,

आज़ मन की एक गहरी इच्छा है

कि एक दिन

लोग मुझे तुम्हारे नाम से पहचानें।

कहें

देखो, यह उस बेटी की माँ है...

उस दिन शायद

मेरी आंखों में आंसू होंगे,

लेकिन वे आंसू

किसी दर्द के नहीं,

एक मां के गर्व के होंगे।

मेरी बिटिया,

तुम सुखी रहो

तो मेरी दुनियां सुखी है।

तुम मुस्कुराती रहो

तो मेरी सुबहें उजली हैं।

तुम अपने सपनों तक पहुंचो

तो लगता है

मेरी सारी तपस्या सफ़ल हुई।

मैंने तुम्हें जन्म दिया

लेकिन सच तो यह है

कि तुम्हारे जन्म ने

मुझे भी एक नया जन्म दिया।

इसलिए आज़ बस इतना कहना है,

धन्यवाद बिटिया,

मेरे जीवन में आने के लिए,

मेरे अधूरेपन को पूरा करने के लिए,

मेरी पहचान को नया अर्थ देने के लिए,

और मुझे यह महसूस कराने के लिए

कि मां होना

दुनियां की सबसे खूबसूरत उपलब्धि है।

तुम मेरी बेटी ही नहीं,

मेरी प्रार्थना का वह उत्तर हो

जिसे मैं हर जन्म में

फ़िर से मांगना चाहूंगी।

तुम्हारी ख़ुशी में मेरी ख़ुशी है,

तुम्हारी उड़ान में मेरा आसमान है,

और तुम्हारा नाम ही

मेरी सबसे प्यारी कमाई है।

सुनो बिटिया...

तुम हो,

इसलिए मैं पूरी हूं।
