सवारी

तुम्हारेय ूँही कहनेपर,

के तुम हमारेशहर आए हो,

हम सच मान लेतेथे,

और फटाफट अपनी साइककल पर सवार हो, मम्मी से'बाहर जा रहेहैं' कह कर, थोडेपैसेलेकलया करतेथे।

जैसेही पता चलता,

झ ठ हैयहाूँहोना,

हम अपनी साइककल वहीींफें क किया करतेथे, पैसेवापस रख किया करतेथे,

जार-जार रोतेनहीीं,

पर, मन मेंकु छ कडवा भर कलया करतेथे, कु छ गुस्सा जैसा कर किया करतेथे।

अब तुम सामनेभी आओ,

तो फ़र्क़ नहीींपडता,

नाम िोहराओ,

तो लफ़्ोींमें'हाूँ' नहीींकमलता,

अब हमेंतुम में,

खुिा क्या...

इींसान भी नहीींकिखता।

कजस किन तुमने,

बेवफ़ाई का नगमा पढा,

उसी किन हमने,

तुम्हारेनाम का,

सलत-अल-जनाजा पढा। *( सलत-अल-जनाजा -Prayer for the deceased)
