एक बेटी अपनी माँ से कहती है -

लोग कहते है की मैं खूबसूरत नहीं वो खूबसूरत है!

ये खूबसूरत नहीं वो खूबसूरत है!

आखिर खूबसूरती क्या है माँ ?

तो माँ बड़े ही सहजता से जवाब देती है -

खूबसूरती चुप्पी साधने में नहीं

बल्कि अपने विचारों को खुलकर बयां करने में है

खूबसूरती बाहरी सुंदरता को उभारने में नहीं

बल्कि अपने अंदर छुपे सच्चाई को निखारने में है

खूबसूरती अहंकार महसूस करने में नहीं

दूसरों के प्रति दया का भाव उजागर करने में है

खूबसूरती तारीफ़ें बटोरने में नहीं

ज़िंदगी में खुशियां बाँटने में है

खूबसूरती दिखाने में नहीं

बल्कि महसूस करने में है

खूबसूरती खुद पर घमंड करने में नहीं

बल्कि दूसरों की भीतरी सुंदरता सकारने में है

खूबसूरती प्रेम का भाव उत्तपन करने में है

दूसरों से नफ़रत करने में नहीं

खूबसूरती इंसानियत को बढ़ावा देने में है

औरों से जानवरों सा व्यवहार करने में नहीं

खूबसूरती इस प्रकृति से मित्रता करने में है

उससे शत्रुता कर नाश करने में नहीं

खूबसूरती ज़िंदगी संवारने में है

दूसरों की ज़िंदगी बर्बाद करने में नहीं

अपने अंदर की खूबसूरती छुपाने में नहीं

बल्कि दुनिया के सामने प्रदर्शित करने में है

खूबसूरती आत्मविश्वास महसूस करने में है

अपने अंदर के हिचक को बढ़ावा देने में नहीं

खूबसूरती आत्मनिर्भर बनने में है

दूसरों पर बूझ बनने में नहीं

खूबसूरती अपने सपनों को खिलने देने में है

उन्हें मुरझाने में नहीं

खूबसूरती आवाज़ उठाने में है

अपने लफ़्ज़ ओ को दबाने में नहीं

खूबसूरती डर कर जीने में नहीं

सर उठा कर उड़ान भरने में है

खूबसूरती दूसरों का दर्द महसूस करने में है

उनके भावनाओं का मज़ाक बना हँसने में नहीं

खूबसूरती समझदारी दिखाने में है

बेवकूफों सा व्यवहार करने में नहीं

खूबसूरती अपने सपनों की उड़ान भरकर जीने में है

सपनों को कुचलकर ज़िंदगी गुजारने में नहीं

अर्थतः खूबसूरती ज़िंदगी जीने में है

ज़िंदगी गुजारने में नहीं |
