“कामचोर”

छाती ठोकून ठनकू लागली

मंचावर मांडताना दोन शब्द

तासभर बोलले श्रीमंत योगी

हातवारे करीत, जनता स्तब्ध.

म्हणे झाडे लावायला लागु सगळे

माती मुळाशी राहील घट्ट

पाण्याची मग कत्ता नको

शेतीच पिकेल स्वप्न मोठ्ठ.

कित्येक करांनी केला कडकडाट

काय बोलले राव राजाच्या स्वरात

गळ्यात पडल्या फुलांच्या माळा

अन् जिंकली शाई प्रत्येक घरात.

हवेत हरपले पुढचे वाक्य

महिन्यातच मिळाली नावाची खुर्ची

पांढर्‍याच शालीचा पडदा केला

गावाला सार्‍या लागली मिर्ची.

जाब विचारताच वळली मान

काळ्या करतुतींचे हात खिशात

शिव्यांचा मग अभिषेक झाला

अन् विरोधकांची निघाली वरात.

दुष्काळ दाटला गावानं सार्‍या

पाणी पळाले मातीला घेऊन

डोक्या-डोक्यानी दोष फिरवला

अन् ढेकर दिले आयतं बसुन.

चक्र चालले न संपणारे

दाखवत दुसर्‍यांना नुसतं बोट

स्वतःचे हात चालवायच्या वेळी

न माझे काम हे सरकारवर लोट.

आले गेले गिरवलं एकच

न हात हलवता हिरवळीचा घोर

नाव ठेवण्याच्या या मंगल क्षणी

मी ही नाही काही कामचोर…
