कभी अलविदा न कहना

ओ मेरे सच्चे साथियों,

हमारी यादों की हैं कितनी कहानियाँ,

हँसी-खुशी के वो पल,

और थोड़ी इधर-उधर की लड़ाइयाँ।

दोस्त तो बहुत देखे हैं मैंने,

पर तुम जैसा साथ कहाँ पाया,

कभी हँसाया, कभी चिढ़ाया,

और कभी बिना कहे भी समझाया।

हम चारों की ये दोस्ती कुछ खास है,

शायद इसी में तो हमारी दुनिया बसती है।

दोस्त, मित्र-छोटा सा शब्द है,

लेकिन इसका मतलब कितना गहरा है।

वो जो तुम्हारी खुशी में अपनी खुशी ढूँढे,

वो जो हर कदम पर तुम्हारा साथ दे,

वो जो तुम्हें कभी अकेला महसूस न होने दे,

और जिस पर आँखें बंद करके भरोसा किया जा सके।

दो साल ऐसे ही कब बीत गए,

जैसे बदलते मौसम का पता ही न चला।

एक ही कक्षा में साथ-साथ रहे,

कितनी बातें, कितनी यादें

इन दो सालों में जीते रहे।

अब अगले दो सालों के लिए

मेरी दुआएँ रहेंगी तुम लोगों के साथ।

दूरियाँ चाहे कितनी भी हों,

कम न हो कभी हमारा साथ।

बहुत याद आएगी तुम सबकी,

रोने को तो करता है दिल,

पर फिलहाल आँखों के आँसुओं से

ही काम चलाना पड़ेगा।

भूलना मत कभी हमें,

भूल भी गए तो याद दिला देंगे।

क्योंकि कुछ दोस्त ऐसे होते हैं

जो दूर होकर भी दूर नहीं होते।

अलविदा तो नहीं कहना चाहते हम,

तो इसे अलविदा कहेंगे भी नहीं।

बस फिर मिलने का वादा रखते हैं-

यूँ ही हँसते-खेलते,

बिना किसी दूरी के एहसास के।

तुम सब रहो खुश,

स्वस्थ और हमेशा मुस्कुराते रहो।

और हाँ-

हमें भूलना मत।
