apni talaash mein
Doob jaau
Samudra me
Uske jo mujhe dubana chahta hai
Dekhu un gehraiyon ko
Jo vo mujhe dikhana chahta hai
Tairun gham ke dariya me
Pee jau kuch paani uska
Kab tak bachungi un leheron se
Yeh dil ab doob jaana chahta hai
Kya rakha hai is duniya me
Ho jata hai jo ho jana hota hai
Hum to pyaade hai uske shatranj ke
Pohoch hi jaate hai vaha
Jaha vo pohochana chahta hai
**
Beh jaau
Hawaon me
Uski jo mujhe bahaana chahta hai
Duniya ka har kona dekhu
Nadiyan dekhu
Zamana dekhu
Har gham har muskaan
Dekhu har dil kya chahta hai
Kaha hai thikaana iska
Ye aakhir kaha jana chahta hai
Kya rakha hai is zamaane me
Anginat deewaron se
Hume thamaana chahta hai
Kis deewar ne hawa ko roka?
Kis deewar se samudra thama hai?
Naadaan hai vo jo bediyon me
Iss dil ko baandhna chahta hai
**
Dil bhi prakriti ke samaan anant hai
Ise rokna, baandhna vyarth hai
Khud ki talaash me khoya insaan hi
Jaagruti ki raah ke nikat hai
Toh udd ja
Beh ja
Doob ja samudra me
Uske jo tujhe dubana chahta hai
Ke geheraiyon me hi vo khazana chupa hai
Jise uchaiyo par zamana paana chahta hai
Explanation of the Poem
The poem explores surrender, fate, self-discovery, and breaking free from limitations, using the metaphors of the ocean and the wind to illustrate a journey of realization.
First Section: Surrender to Depths
The poet expresses a willingness to drown in the ocean that tries to pull them in. But this is not just about giving up—it’s about embracing the depths, experiencing the pain, and seeing what lies beneath. They question how long they can resist the waves and acknowledge that their heart now wants to surrender to them. This could symbolize acceptance of suffering, emotions, or fate rather than fighting against them.
Second Section: Fate & Powerlessness
Here, the poet questions the significance of the world. Everything happens as it is meant to, and they compare life to a game of chess, where people are mere pawns, moving where they are destined to go. This suggests a feeling of helplessness in the grand scheme of things, where no one has real control over their journey.
Third Section: Embracing Movement & Exploration
A shift occurs—the poet no longer talks about drowning but instead about flowing with the wind. Instead of resisting, they now want to see the world, experience its joys and sorrows, and understand the desires of people's hearts. This is the start of an awakening, a curiosity to explore beyond suffering.
Fourth Section: Breaking Barriers
The poet challenges societal limitations. The world tries to bind people with countless walls, stopping them from moving forward. But just like the wind and the ocean can’t be stopped by walls, the poet realizes that the soul (heart) is boundless and cannot be contained. This is where defiance and realization take hold—they reject the restrictions imposed by the world.
Fifth Section: Enlightenment & Freedom
Here, the poet recognizes that the human heart is infinite, just like nature itself. Trying to control or suppress it is pointless. They state that only those who lose themselves in self-search come close to enlightenment (Jaagruti—awakening).
Thus, the final message is clear: Let go, flow, dive deep into experiences, and embrace the hidden treasures of life. What the world seeks in heights (success, ambition) is often found in the depths (self-awareness, inner wisdom).
This is not about defeat but about trusting the journey, letting go of resistance, and allowing yourself to fully experience life.
Surrender to the depths, flow with the wind, break the walls—true treasures lie not in heights, but in the depths we dare to explore.
