Your Name My Fate

I hear you, even when you don’t say my name

your voice, upon this whispering flame.

In midnight’s hush, your eyes cast silent calls

and I trace your shade, where quiet longing falls.

I’ve held back not because I don’t want you

but because wanting isn’t enough when I want forever too.

I’m not a man who can promise skies just yet

but still, I stand your name my fate.

If you see this, and if you’ve been waiting

I write these lines, hoping you're reading.

I don’t want to lose you by speaking too soon

as I don’t want silence to turn us to ruins.

So tell me if I reach for your hand,

will you meet me halfway, or will our silence meet an end?
