I don’t know if I can love anyone again,

The way I loved you,

The way I still love you.

You hold a special place in my heart,

A chamber locked with the key of true love,

You made me realize what love truly feels like,

And how a man in love behaves.

You’ve raised my standards,

Shown me the beauty of fantasy turned real—

Every movie, every book,

They all became truth in your presence.

Because of you,

I never returned to my old attractions,

Because of you,

I saw how deeply I’d been mistreated.

I don’t know if we’ll ever be together,

In this lifetime or the next,

I don’t even know if you feel the same.

But still, I wish

That on this earth,

We could belong to each other.
