You Haunt Me

You just left me.

You used me.

You said you would marry me,

In that context, you used me.

I was there,

Minding my own business,

Until you came,

Only to haunt me.

You said we could do all those things,

Those sensual touches,

Subtle pecks to tongue kisses,

Going down on each other,

Caressing my womanly chest,

Taking me to bed.

I am happy I never allowed you

To get inside of me,

Until marriage.

Then suddenly,

I get a text from a friend.

You are already

Busy marrying

Someone else.

I call you.

I call you.

I call you once more,

Knowing that you won’t pick up my call.

You know very well

What you did to me.

I needed a rehabilitation center

For a year to recover.

You used me.

But I am happy

I didn’t let you have

All of me.

Your friend who cared

Messaged me,

Took me to rehab,

Showed me the light.

I am marrying him now.

He was there in the darkness,

When everything was broken,

When even my family disowned me.

He was the only one who pondered.

But guess what you have done to me.

I meet this guy,

This guy at a place,

Who resembles you,

Who tastes just like you.

We melt into each other,

Just like us.

I don’t know why

I fell in love

With that someone resembling

You.

And guess what he did.

He married somebody else,

Just like how you did

To me.

I am back to square one.

I don’t reveal this to anyone.

I needed rehab,

But

Now I have kids,

Now I have everything in the world,

Except You,

And the other You

That followed.
