You don't know pain until...🥀

You don't know pain until the silence in your room becomes louder than every voice that ever promised they would stay,

until the walls learn your secrets better than the people you once trusted,

and every night feels like a conversation with ghosts that wear the faces of the living.

You don't know pain until you wake up one morning and realize that grief does not knock before entering,

that it settles itself inside your chest like an unwanted tenant,

rearranging the furniture of your soul while you stand there helpless,

watching pieces of yourself disappear into places you cannot reach.

You don't know pain until you begin to miss the version of yourself that existed before the hurt,

before the phone calls that changed everything,

before the empty chairs, the unfinished sentences,

before your laughter became something you had to remember instead of something you simply did.

You don't know pain until you discover that some wounds do not bleed,

they simply teach your eyes how to hide storms behind smiles,

how to carry oceans of sorrow inside a body that still wakes up every morning and pretends to function.

You don't know pain until hope itself becomes exhausting,

until you grow tired of believing that tomorrow will be gentler than today,

because every tomorrow arrives carrying the same weight,

wearing a different face but delivering the same

heartbreak.

You don't know pain until you learn that losing someone does not always mean watching them leave,

sometimes it means watching them stay while becoming a stranger,

watching memories turn into monuments,

and love transform into something too heavy to hold and too precious to let go.

And perhaps the cruelest part of pain is not the breaking itself,

but the unbearable expectation that you must continue living as though you were never shattered at all,

that you must gather the fragments of your existence with trembling hands,

and somehow convince the world that broken things still know how to shine.
