You Could Have

You could have been the scent

Which fades in no matter of time

But no, you had to be the petrichor

To which the senses are forced to sublime

You could have just graced us with your presence

And then leave with no trace behind

But then you chose to leave the room

And just occupy the space on my mind

The ignorance by your eyes would have sufficed

But you then gave me look

Just for a moment though

In which I wish I could have died

You could have been rude

It would be just so fine

But you chose the gentleman kind

Which if I could, would declare to be a crime

Crimes of which we talk about

Are plenty if you start the count

Captivating my thoughts

All the casualties subdued

By the mess created

after my mind and heart forever fought

Oh no for how long i could write

It’s making me think even more

I need my space away from your hatred's fright

And shut to your aura my unconscious doors
