Writing a poem is like

Unleashing what lies within,

Words and emotions, buried deep,

That we're afraid to begin.

Poetry is like speaking truth,

That everyone already knows,

But admitting to it takes courage,

And that's where the fear shows.

It's about the hidden truth,

And the untold tales we hold,

Expressed in a rhythmic way,

So that the message can be told.

Writing a poem is simple,

It's just about you and me,

But also about the world outside,

That we tend to forget to see.

It's about the flaws we have,

And the mistakes we made,

The scars on your face,

And the fat in my waist.

It's about financial struggles,

And the hardships we go through,

It's about the little lies,

That we don't always admit to.

Writing a poem is a way,

To express our innermost selves,

It's about telling the truth,

And letting go of hidden selves.

Writing a poem is pouring your words,

Directly from your heart,

Letting out the engraved words out from your soul

And setting yourself free

It's a way to express your deepest thoughts,

And bring them to life with each and every stroke

It's the melody of your heart,

And the rhythm of your mind,

Flowing together in perfect harmony,

Creating a masterpiece that is one of a kind.

It's the freedom to speak your mind,

Without any fear or judgement to bind,

It's a world where anything can happen,

And imagination runs wild, unconfined.

Writing a poem is like opening a window,

Into your innermost being,

Letting others see the beauty and pain within,

Sharing your joy, your sorrow, your every feeling.

It's a journey through your memories,

A path that leads you through your dreams,

A way to make sense of your past,

And find hope for the future, it seems.

Writing a poem is a celebration of life,

A way to appreciate the beauty around,

It's a reminder that even in darkness,

Light can always be found.
