Worlds

Can’t I be the world to everyone

because every time

whenever I cross someone

on the pavements

I feel the heat

of the heart

of the people

glowing around me

in the buzzing crowds

on a Sunday evening, on the beach

I feel the love and loss at the same time

as they pass by

if love is so wild to catch someone tight

then why is it that

souls are as subtle as a fragrance

hovering across a rose garden

in its morning dews

if I ever could be the world to everyone

maybe there could be

no more worlds left

for me to be in.
