A touch of country spice on the almighty rice,

Flavoured with lumps of gourmet meat lusciously nice,

An irresistible fragrance which tickles the bile within,

Behold the lip-smacking biryani always ready to sink-in.

From Nawabi of Lucknow to Karnataka’s own Nati style,

The dish has witnessed many hungry souls over a while,

A crave that slobbers the taste buds every time,

The flavour of enchanting biryani is worth every single dime.

When I first had my favourite cuk-du-koo biryani,

It enhanced my glutton and gave me foodgasm so many,

“So yummy” are the compliments I always say,

The love for exquisite food was born on the very day.
