Wonderland Of Dreams

I fly away oftentimes

To better worlds and better lives

But then I land back to the ground

And see people living in beehives

So I disconnect to their reality

As I wish to see

More than yellow and black,

being told how I should feel

More than a predictable hack,

my best dress, my highest heel

More than just a beautiful place,

joker and queen, a pretty face

More than where I’ve been, what I’ve done

Or what I do to make a living

For my heart feels lavish only

When I whistle to birds and talk to trees

When I collect moonshine in a stone

And keep talismans to tell magical stories

When I burn incense for energy cleanse

When in the grass, I take a walk

Barefoot, singing my favorite song

When I marry the sun to the moon

When I send messages with the wind

When I bless the water I drink

And the people with whom I have clinked

When I hug my dearest of friends

I send a wave of light and stars

In hopes, they understand and hear me

That the light could heal all their scars

But some don’t believe in such extremes

What they’re told is what they believe

And I’ll be fine with what they choose

If they listen to their hearts once a week

For my endurance would mean much less

If I don’t breathe in love and peace

Or I shall go back and fight again

The desire to not exist in this world

And back to my wonderland of dreams
