Women Fire

What is it that we truly seek,

Are we fighting for our heart desires,

Or just to follow the worldly routine.

Holding heavy briefcases,

We carry burden of our decision,

Our mistake or maybe regrets

But we are willing to carry it because we have build ourself with loads of courage,

We wear high stilletos to stand in the similar height,

Or we try to stand on the same platform,

Where it took many years of women's sacrifice.

We wear bold lip colour,

To distract the world's attention to our words,

We wear many colours to remove the monochrome that we hide somewhere.

Our hairs are free flowing,

To reveal that somewhere we too want to be free,

Free from sympathy,

Free from lust,

Free from judgement,

Free from familial binding,

Free from restrictions we are still abiding.

Our work place is our territory where we wage war on daily basis,

We shine in the world that is slowly turning dark,

We have reached a height where once women were even refused to go out,

Now no one can take back the achievement that we have earned through many doubts.

We dare you to look at us with unfair gaze,

We dare you to treat us as dolls in your workplace,

We dare you to touch us in bad way,

Because now we fear no one,

We fight for the coming years,

Where many women need us to build the example that they will require,

We are women, just like Draupadi we were born in fire.
