Ek bagiche mein haryali thi,

Jahan, bahut se phool lage the shakho mein

Kuch kaliyan murjhai hui thi

Bahut se patte, toote pare the pairon mein

Wahi aas paas kisi ped ke neeche, baith gai mai chawn mein

Soch rahi thi mai, kuch insaan bhi hote hai, 

kuch khilte phool jaise hai, 

kuch na umeedi se murjhate hai, 

kuch tootte is qadar hai jaise, 

khudka wajood hi bhool jate hai, 

woh ped hum insaan, 

par kitne milte julte hai, par kitne milte julte hai…
