Wizard and The Wailing Woman

Witnessing a woman wailing,

bowing to the earth,

tears rolling down her rosy cheeks,

due to her stepsisters’ wreck.

Impending with household work,

where her heart is broken,

as cruelty pricking her with force,

getting used to it in due course.

A witty wizard passing across,

having a charming radiance,

wandering on the way,

by confronting the wailing woman.

With a dashing wand and her bashing spell,

the magic happens as she tells.

A spray of love potion,

leading a metamorphosis in her, 

with great caution,

to return before the clock strikes twelve.  

As the wizard goes invisible with her cloak,

moving across the brook,

riding on her new chariot,

singing “The Love Song” of T.S. Eliot.

Reaching the castle,

staring at the prince, leaves her baffled,

with no snaffle,

the prince treats her with care.

With a loud giggle, dancing their ball,

abiding by the king’s protocol,

before the clock strikes twelve,

announcing the world,

that now, they are a couple.
