Witnessing The Core

Enlarging, multidirectional, effervescent,
and randomly spreading
Either I want it, or I don’t want it.
Either I am prepared for it or not prepared for it
Sweeps me away of my stability,
Plants something that I am not familiar with
New paths opening and merging
to accommodate and contain
At times making sense and at times difficult to grasp
At times I am flowing with it, at times in its clasp.
Coming to fetch me
when I am the most unprepared
Sneaking into the space
where dead end seems evident.
Calling out loud to trespass into the unchartered
Opening paths for me to wander and ponder
Walking through misty lanes with sense of surrender
When I cry out for help gathering myself up again
I find a new me extending hands,
tying me to a hopeful chain
As I returned to gather pieces of what I left behind
I found remains of ashes not suitable of further grind
I left all of them to rise back into life
The air of hope came gushing in and said,
‘breathe again.’
