Wishes

Someone once told me,

Wishes come true,

for people who are pure of heart

They should've committed no sins,

No crimes,

all in all,

Their life should be a work of art,

with no mistakes at all.

I spent my days,

trying to be perfect,

making no one upset,

I then made a wish,

To be successful and happy

Along with my family and friends.

But my wish didn't hold true.

I saw problems in everyone's life

Including my own too.

I thought for a long time,

if I made a mistake I didn't realize,

But remembered none.

As I grew, I learnt the truth,

No one can live without making a mistake

Wishes don't fulfil magically.

But you ought to work for it.

I learned that mistakes were just like new art strokes,

They only make the painting unique and wonderful.
