I wish I was young again.

I wish I could play in the fields of flowers and watch caterpillars grow to butterflies in a day.

I wish I do…

I wish I could sit on chairs with my legs dangling just above the floor while I wait for supper to be

served.

I wish I do…

I wish I could read books and let my imagination run wild and free, and my dreams be filled with

candies and rainbows

I wish I do…

I wish I could roam around new places without wondering about what will happen when I grow up.

I wish I do...

But no matter how much I wish

I am still worried about my future and I no longer play in fields.

My legs no longer dangle And my dreams are bleak

Even if I wish upon every shooting star and all the wishing wells that have and will ever be made

I am no longer young

I am no longer able to be clueless

And I wish that one day I may return to that bliss.

I wish I do....
