Winning the Race

It was never about winning the race,

What rather counted was a smooth and steady pace.

It was paramount to enjoy the process,

While  brushing aside the temptation of an early success.

They say what you sow so shall you reap,

At times, the daunting climb to the top is steep.

But all is well that ends well,

The story of triumph and glory is at last yours to tell.

But do not celebrate only the sweet moments of success in life,

You can always learn ever more from your days of toil, sweat and strife.
