desire to hold something,

someone, some idea,

some piece of your world

to feel whole

but an illusion it is,

for you can only be whole

when you don’t hold

when you lose the need to hold onto

when flowers feel untouched between your fingers

when leaves can dance in your embrace

when ants are safe under your shadow

when the other feels safe in your light

free yourself, awake yourself,

so others can take flight in your light
