WHO WON?

Sep 28, 2022

By Akshaya Varadharajan

It is this voice again No matter how far I run I end up at the same place All my efforts gone in vain Like the earth tryin' to hide from the sun You just won't leave my little space

I try to draw a line between us From behind which I could still see you One among many pairs of eyes gazing your way My heart's voice mingled in the chorus Which you will call a fan chant, I knew But how I wish you could clearly hear what I say

Every time I wanna give up The voice tells me to hold With my dreams backing up this one And my heart wags its tail like a pup Refusing to obey the brain as told In the end, it’s just me wondering who won?
